Hello! Here it is Tuesday already and the last day of the month. My art gallery show is fast approaching and I still have so much to finish. On top of that I will be traveling most of the month of April. I am not a good traveling beader. Anyway I finished this piece a few weeks ago thought it would bring the spirit of spring to some of you snow bound people. LOL! Enjoy

Another busy day for me. I am so glad my health is holding up for all of this. I did want to share with you some more of my Artbeads.com finds. You know I love Swarovski, uhhh who doesn't right? These jet black crystal donuts are just the bead I was looking for. I have such a surprise use for them. There are 9 colors to choose from.

Hello All!


This week went by so fast that I can hardly believe it is Saturday, again. My deadline for the art gallery is coming upon me quickly so it is all about the beading. This is a combined effort between the Toho bead manufactures and the Czech Republic bead producers. After the beads were made in Japan they were sent to the Czech Republic for their traditional glass finish. The result is simply one of perfection. When you know the history of the Japanese bead making and the Czech glass industry this is truly an innovation. There are several colors to choose from, for me I have Matte Jet Apollo. Happy Day

Today is a very happy day for our family. Dax, my Son-In-Law, will be home today after another tour for our military. Dax is a Staff Sergeant in the US Marines. Home safe! Remember our men and women who serve bravely for all us.

Still Going Strong

Hello everyone!
The beading for my new Art Gallery is coming right along. For me this is what it is all about. Getting ready for a big Art Gallery showing. Making sure every stitch is right and in place. That each three dimensional piece has the perfect face, or floral arrangement. The beaded gourds are all polished to perfection and thoroughly dry before the beading begins. Large Huichol pictures are all framed and the glass is sparkling so that the beads show through. I am especially excited about this particular Art Gallery. In 20 years of operation they have never accepted Jewelry. However, after a presentation of just a few of my bead art jewelry pieces, the owner accepted my jewelry! I will be having my Art showing sometime in May. I will send out invitations to all of you! In the 42 years of beading, selling, teaching, writing, and being absorbed in my bead art I don't think I have had a disappointment, in addition, I have had many outstanding events. This is one of them. I am still going strong and loving every minute of it. Thanks to all of you who support me and my art.

Good morning. Here on the Oregon coast, we are in the middle of a storm. The wind is howling off the ocean and the rain is ice cold. The perfect day for a pot of soup on the stove and all day beading. Here is a comment I received on my "Saturday" post

As most of you know I am designing and getting ready for a art gallery show. In response I just want to say that my Fantasy Mermaid is just one of four 3-D art projects that I have created and finished in the last 4 weeks. One, I am a fast beader, (Not as fast as I once was. You know age an all.) Two, once I focus in on a project it is difficult to pull me away. Three, when I know I have a dead line I am ferocious at getting things finished. A piece does not leave my work table until it has every element finished.
So how do you work/play with beads? Let me know.

Time today for blogging

Hi everyone. I am feeling better and it is a good thing. I am so bead busy that as I have often said, I need two of me.
