PPF Fire

Hi Everyone!

It's PPF and I was struggling to get some art finished. I am working on a commission but for PPF I had nothing. Until I sat down in front of the easel. I had no paint on my pallet. I grabbed a tube of black and squeezed paint onto a paint brush. Then some white, then red, then orange and then yellow. With distant thoughts of the West Coast burning I painted the landscape.
You can see my posts on the Oregon fires and what it is like in my town

The landscape of my country

and here is the real landscape.

There are many towns from Medford to Salem that are
burned, literally to the ground.

Perfect, yet beyond sad depiction. Painting your heart.

You’ve depicted the fires well.
So very scary. I do hope the fire crews make headway soon.
Be safe.

Your painting expresses the situation with great vigor and succinctly!

Beautiful art Nicole. And oh so sad about the devastation caused by the fires. I could just cry when I see photos and reports.

Your painting is beautiful but the same colors in real life, huh, photos tell different story.
Yesterday, a meteorologist told how there are no extreme conditions in Finland. Right now light rain and grey sky.

The fires are so sad. So many people with so much loss. I think your painting is appropriate and beautiful.

The picture expresses reality, it speaks from your soul.
Terrible the fire and what it is aimed at, I'm so sorry for these people and I hope you are safe, I wish you and your family all the best, hug Elke

I am using my neighbor Sally's computer Nicole, so I must keep this brief. My internet appears to be fine, but my power supply cord has gone bad, at least that is what my computer guru friend Scott thinks. He will try to get a new one for me in town on Monday. If not, he will buy one at Amazon.

Your painting is wonderful and so amazing. I finally saw Oregon on the news yesterday and today. It is horrible. I have a friend who used to live in Medford. I hope she is OK. I hope YOU are OK. I know you can't go outside because of the air quality, but please, please stay safe, dear.
