 Welcome To Friday Face OFF (FFO)

This is the place to show off your faces or your face. Post any type of face from any medium. You can create it, or find it in nature, or even that face in the design of woodwork in your house. Human, animal, alien, or monster. Any kind of face.

 

On Tuesday at the T-Party I showed my face model. It is a strange feeling thing. They said it felt like skin and reacted like skin. Well if my skin ever gets like this..... just put a bag over my head. This feels like rubber but then if feels like leather. Either way it is difficult to work on with makeup or paints. I was going through my art supplies and came across some oil paint sticks.

I learned previously, working with the head, that it needs a foundation on it first.

OK, I cheated. Gene and I were talking about creating some watercolor faces. I have a very difficult time with watercolor. We both don't have much time right now so I went to AI to see what I could come up with.

Gene when we do our watercolor faces I will create IRT. LOL  It is so much fun creating with AI. It feeds my mojo.

 

 My oldest grandson, is a natural artist. He draws or paints and it is just amazing. He creates art to relax. He is taking a class right now where the instructor is teaching how to draw with Conte' I told him I have never used it. So he sent me some. How sweet is that?

Then Mr. M. tells me he has some Conte' pencils I can have. How lucky am I? I will be playing with these this weekend.

TADD OMG!

 Hi Everyone!

I'm linking with Rain today, even though she has a power outage and will be late to post TADD. Her theme is Egg(s) hmmmm not happy with eggs prices right now and I was going to get some from Costco today..... but the trip ended due to snow. Yes, you read that right. Mr. M. and I had to go to Salem today. We got about 6 miles out of town and the rain became to slush. Turned the corner at Mapleton, another 6 miles, and the rain turned into snow. WTF! The further we went the heavier the snow. I thought I was back in N. Id. There is very limited cell service one hwy 125 but we got 3 bars at the rest area. Mr. M. phoned the doctor and she agreed to do a phone visit. So we turned around. I didn't have my camera only my phone and have no way to transfer the photos to my PC. So here are some Trip check photos.

Walton is about 35 miles from my house.

Back to eggs. I can't even speak about them because they are so expensive in my town. 

Fred Meyer Eggs. I buy 18 pack.

The last time I was in the store they were 

$6.00

At Safeway the same eggs are $6.25

If I could only get to Costco I can get 30 eggs for $4.50

That is my gripe with stores that charge too much for eggs. 

Now for something fun. I was going to buy a new galvanized raised bed for my garden. I get them on Amazon. The best price I get. Instead I found this (same size as the galvanized) fabric raised bed with 1ft squares set in. I love this so much and the price so much less. I think I paid $17. and some change.

I also got some 10 and 7 gal grow bags. They come 5 to a package. The 10 gal $12.99 and the 7gal $9.99. Just go to amazon.com and type in garden grow bags there is so much to choose from. I used some last year and my plants grew much better in them. Especially potatoes.

Mr. M. and I decided that for our birthdays, Not yet here. We would get 2 new chairs for the TV room. I am so happy with the chairs and they are so comfy. However, they are power chairs and when the delivery guys check to make sure they both worked. One did not. Soooo they put it back on the truck. I won't be able to get the other chair until March 13. I am not happy about that at all.

Of course it was and still is raining.
 

 

 

 

The guys were very nice and made sure they wiped their feet each time they came in. I just wish they had a mask on. I was wearing mine.

Well that is it for now. I am off to make a cup of coffee.
