TADD OMG!

 Hi Everyone!

I'm linking with Rain today, even though she has a power outage and will be late to post TADD. Her theme is Egg(s) hmmmm not happy with eggs prices right now and I was going to get some from Costco today..... but the trip ended due to snow. Yes, you read that right. Mr. M. and I had to go to Salem today. We got about 6 miles out of town and the rain became to slush. Turned the corner at Mapleton, another 6 miles, and the rain turned into snow. WTF! The further we went the heavier the snow. I thought I was back in N. Id. There is very limited cell service one hwy 125 but we got 3 bars at the rest area. Mr. M. phoned the doctor and she agreed to do a phone visit. So we turned around. I didn't have my camera only my phone and have no way to transfer the photos to my PC. So here are some Trip check photos.

Walton is about 35 miles from my house.

Back to eggs. I can't even speak about them because they are so expensive in my town.

Fred Meyer Eggs. I buy 18 pack.

The last time I was in the store they were

$6.00

At Safeway the same eggs are $6.25
If I could only get to Costco I can get 30 eggs for $4.50
That is my gripe with stores that charge too much for eggs.
Now for something fun. I was going to buy a new galvanized raised bed for my garden. I get them on Amazon. The best price I get. Instead I found this (same size as the galvanized) fabric raised bed with 1ft squares set in. I love this so much and the price so much less. I think I paid $17. and some change.
I also got some 10 and 7 gal grow bags. They come 5 to a package. The 10 gal $12.99 and the 7gal $9.99. Just go to amazon.com and type in garden grow bags there is so much to choose from. I used some last year and my plants grew much better in them. Especially potatoes.

Mr. M. and I decided that for our birthdays, Not yet here. We would get 2 new chairs for the TV room. I am so happy with the chairs and they are so comfy. However, they are power chairs and when the delivery guys check to make sure they both worked. One did not. Soooo they put it back on the truck. I won't be able to get the other chair until March 13. I am not happy about that at all.
Of course it was and still is raining.

The guys were very nice and made sure they wiped their feet each time they came in. I just wish they had a mask on. I was wearing mine.
Well that is it for now. I am off to make a cup of coffee.
How much coffee is healthy? Three cups cuts stroke, heart attack risk

Hi, Nicole! I hope that you enjoyed your coffee with your feet in your new chair. I'm sorry that you have been dealing with such miserable weather! At least your doctor cooperated. Eggs, yes they have been expensive for a long time! I accidentally published my post with last Friday's date. Not paying attention to details again ~ lol! May your days be much better going forward! Hugs to you!

WOW . . . that sure looks like some nasty weather, but at least you were able to enjoy a hot cup of coffee.

I had a hot cup of coffee early this morning.

I think turning around when you hit that snow was smart. And I used some grow bags last year, and I loved them so much I am going to get some more for this year also. and nice chairs. They look very comfy. I think those are a great way to celebrate your birthdays. Enjoy the comfort. hugs-Erika

Sorry about driving into that snow storm-glad you drive back home and set up a phone visit. bummer about your chair-but sounds like you got good service. we have had our eye on a love seat for awhile now-I may just surprise Larry with it one day.
I did know about that fabric raised bed-thanks for sharing that I may look into that. enjoy the rest of your week

Your eggs are twice as much as ours. A dozen is 2.19 (L) and 18 is 3.49 -- at least that's what they were yesterday. (at a regular store, not Costco). How frustrating about the chairs. I'm sorry you had to send one back but I'm glad you checked it out while they were here.

Eggs are 3.59 to 5.99 a dozen here depending on the type you buy. They've been high for a long time.
Enjoy your new chairs. I hope they test this one that's coming before they put it on the truck. They do look very comfy! :)

I think it was last year or maybe the year before when egg prices shot up. Now it's a little more expensive than before the hike but down considerably. WOW, sorry to hear about the snow storm. With you being so far from your doctor, I think it's a good idea to do phone consultations whenever possible. You may want to ask your doctor if that's on option for future appointments. You're getting geared up for the growing season. I've not seen grow bags before but then I'm not a gardener. I hope your new recliner gets there soon! Have a good weekend, my dear!

We have been having unseasonably warm weather here and no snow since I came home from Thailand ... well, that is not quite true, we had a dusting, but I haven't seen a good snow all winter. Snow, in my estimation, is the best part of winter and I am missing it. I do believe we had snow and freezing weather while I was away. As of now it was in the high 40's here today, but two days ago it was 70 degrees and it is supposed to be 70 again tomorrow. Now, don't get me wrong, I love a 70 degree day, but not in the middle of winter when you can't do anything in your garden and I don't have a dog to walk anymore ... Well, sorry, don't mean to complain. Love your big cozy chairs. I know how hard it is to wait for something, but once it gets there you both will enjoy. As for eggs, our prices are high, but they have come down from where they were so I guess I was so grateful for the decrease, I didn't pay attention to the fact that they were still expensive 🤣. So, that's it for me today. Hope things warm up for you ... Happy March! Spring isn't that far off :)

I only buy my eggs at Costco now too, way too expensive otherwise. Nice new chairs! Very cool. You are all ready for gardening season!
