PAINT PARTY FRIDAY 10/25

Hi Everyone!

It is Paint Party Friday!!! I have enjoyed so much visiting the other artists who join in. Be sure that you visit them too. Big thanks to Eva and Kristin for hosting this event. 

This week I am actually working on a small version of a large piece I will be creating. No I don't have it finished yet. The prep work is laborious but that foundation is the main attraction. So maybe next week I will be able to show that.  In the meantime here are a few pieces.

Abstract tile made for a customers home. It has lots of texture and very shinny.

Gourd, leather, seed beads, rocks, crystal, crow beads, pony beads, fire polish beads, sinew. This is for my Sister. She gave me this Crystal shortly before she passed away. While I was making this she was on my mind and the Crystal just seemed perfect for this.

SURPRISE VEGGIE WRAP

Hi Everyone!

So tonight I made homemade tortillas and the best filling ever.  We all eat or have eaten a wrap.  Here is how I made this one. Take sweet onion, broccoli, cauliflower, baby orange and yellow pepper and celery chopped up to a rough fine blend. Add to medium hot skillet. I have a non stick so no oil but feel fee to add butter or oil. Take one egg and whisk in a bowl with just a tiny bit of very cold water. Add to veggies. Just before the egg is scrambled add fresh chopped spinach. Heat tortilla add a bit of cheese. When the cheese is melted place the tortilla onto a plate and spread on Spinach Artichoke hummus over the cheese. Add egg veggie mix. Julienne tomato to place on top. Roll up and eat. I can't tell you how much the hummus brings out all of the flavors. 

Oh you can season with salt, pepper and dill.

STORMY ART DAY

Hi Everyone!

It is still stormy and very wet here. So after I get some dusting done, (you would think with rain there would me no dust.) I am going to be in my art room. I have new projects prepped that I am just waiting for some drying time. Mean while here are a few pieces of art that decorate my house.

SOMETHING SWEET

Hi Everyone!

So I have been working out everyday and keeping the sweets at bay. I work not so much to loose weight, although I would love that, rather to keep my body strong and as healthy as possible while living with lupus. Soooooooo tonight it was like someone turned on the " I MUST HAVE SOMETHING SWEET" button in my brain. I walked into the pantry and there was a bag of coconut. On the back was a great recipe that I added to. OMG!!!!! Coconut bars!!!! These may not look so great in the photo but after baking this my house smells so good and these are to give up.... just about anything for. Yummmm  I did add crushed nuts to the crust. OMG GOOD!!!!!

STILL GREAT BEADS FOR SALE

I still have a some great beads sets for sale on beadwright.com. These are the very last of my beads. I have cleared out my art studio with the odds n ends and with the old African beads I will keep. I am making room for a new art project, "room" being the operative word here. LOL Aren't we all looking for more space. LOL I am excited about this new project. I know I am way early today but I have a meeting this evening with some very creative ladies and I didn't want to forget about PPF.  A big thank you to Kristen and Eva who host PPF. They are the best for giving all of us a forum to come together. Another big thank you to all the artists who show their art and know that in this space only good and wonderful treatment comes forth. Now it is show time. Some of these I painted before my dear mom passed away. I noticed that my art has changed since then

Ouch

Hi Everyone!

Well I am a bonehead and most of you know that. LOL I stabbed my hand yesterday with a ceramic kitchen knife. I swear it went in to deep I thought it was coming out the other side. I was coring an apple and it just slipped. Can I say OUCH!!!! This morning my hand is very swollen but the wound looks good. No infection. I guess house cleaning will just have to be put on hold for a few days. Oh darn. hee hee hee.  At least it was my right hand. I am left handed so I will be in the art room today painting.
Wishing all of you a wonderful day. Now that I look at the photo my hand is REALLY swollen. YiKES!

Website Yard Sale

 Hi Everyone!

This is our second website yard sale!!! I was holding onto my seed beads in hopes that my lupus hands would some how work. LOL I tried to bead the other day and well they don't. Soooo that means it is time to sell the seed beads and make room for something new. just listed Czech seed beads on my Beadwright website.
