IT'S A LUPUS DAY OMG

Hi Everyone!

 

Typing one handed today. lupus has shown up in the form of right arm, shoulder pain from hell.

I knew I was flaring for the last few weeks with a lupus rash but I wasn't expecting this OMG pain!

 

I am in pain every day but I can handle it. Most days it is tolerable. But then, the lupus monster sneaks up,

 

 and before you realize it, it is OMG pain.

 

 

This time in my right shoulder and arm.

I have done all my normal things and if it doesn't subside I will be getting an injection.
Ouchie...

 So I am down for the count. I will be back as soon as I can

Hey don't feel sorry for me. It is a day of GoT in bed while I nap. :)

OOOHHH YYEEAAAA GOT

Hi Everyone!!

 

To all my GoTs buddies....OHHHHH Yeaaahhhh season 4 is truly turning out to be the best one so far. Cersei's is just a wicked beeaatttchh

 and Daenery is really showing her true Targaryen blood.

Hey she has dragons she can what ever she wants. LOL

All of the characters  in GoT each have their own lives but all are leady to the same place. All connected with a story to tell. I  love it.

 

The White walkers have always interested me the most.

I even have a post of one in my art room.

 

And thennnnnn out of the  mist this guy walks in.

 

Not sure what his role is except that he is the one who wants the babies.

One touch and their eyes turn blue.

 

If you have never seen Game of Thrones go rent the first three seasons. If you like/love fantasy then you are missing out on the best story ever told

I do not read the books. I want to be surprised each week. This season has all the twists and excitement one could want.

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY

Hi Everyone!

 

Yep today is my birthday. Well over the proverbial hill. LOL 62 years. Seriously life has been up, down, happy, sad, and all the things in between. Just as life is suppose to be I guess. The thing that surprises me is how fast it truly has gone by.

 

Thank you to every one who has wished me well and sent me gifts and cards. I know I have thanked you personally, but all the goodness that has come to me this birthday warrants another thank you.

 

So I was quite surprised when I got up this morning to season three of Game of Thrones!!!!

We also went up coast yesterday to Depot Bay to have dinner at Tidal Raves. Only the best place to eat on the Oregon cost. We were seated right over the ocean as requested for our reservation. A storm was coming in and the ocean was wickedly strong. Dinner was AMAZING and because of my birthday I was served a huge warm chocolate chip cookie the an even larger scoop of Vanilla Bean ice cream on top.  It was big enough for 4 people. Mike and I ate what we could. It was soooooooooooo goooooooddddddd. Haaa Weight Watchers right down the drain LOL.   

 

So today I am watching GoT all day and painting. Just relaxing.

Another year begins.

PAINT PARTY FRIDAY APRIL 24

Hi Everyone!

 

It is Paint Party Friday already. This has been a hectic week. Glad the weekend is almost upon us.

Not that there is much difference between my days it just feels better on the weekend. LOL

 

I want to thank Eva and Kristin for hosting Paint Party Friday. If you have never clicked on the link to see the other artists, I encourage you to do so. I feel so honored to be apart of a showing with so many wonderful people. We all take a step and put our creations out for the world to see. That takes a lot of courage. There is something truly wonderful in each piece of art that is displayed.

So I have been painting a LOT. I do 8 minute warm ups before I get into the "real" art. I have been into trees lately. Come on you all know I am a weirdo and I get hooked on "things" so it has been trees. I am still working everyday on abstract art too. That is so hard for me. siiigghhhh....

MY BIRTHDAY

Hi Everyone!

 

A week or more ago I posted that I got some paints and brushes for my birthday. I neglected to say that it was an EARLY birthday gift. I got lots of comments and emails and birthday cards in regular mail. Thank you, thank you, thank you all. 

However, my real birthday is April 27. :)  I do love all the attention though. Yesterday I had coffee with a very dear friend of mine, this is what she brought me for my birthday. I am a candle woman. I have them all over my  house and I use them everyday.

 

So how nice is this gift?  mmmm and they smell so good.

 

I can't remember when Gloria, from Loving Frida, shining Star, and I first met. I think it was from the blog one world one heart in 2010. When ever it was I have always loved Gloria's blog and her art. She is a lovely person with a heart of gold.

I am so honored to receive this book with some of Gloria's art

along with an abstract bangle she made.

 

Another wonderfully thoughtful gift.

 

My mom gave me two of her sculpey pieces. Thanks mom I love you

 

Wow turning 62 has been pretty nice so far and again I thank all of you for the birthday wishes and the gifts.

GOT LITTLE FINGER

Hi Everyone!

 

I hope all of you had a very nice weekend and a nice Easter if you celebrate.

I waited all day for Game of Thrones and again this third episode was NOT a disappointed at all..... And so the plot thickens with Little Finger, Lord Peter Baelish. 

He is wicked to the core in his easy going way.

I am hoping that Sansa and Arya meet up at the Vale.

Mike asked,  "Who is your favorite this season?"

Truly this season every character is my favorite. Each one is so complex and the sophistication of the show has stepped up from season three.

PAINT PARTY FRIDAY APRIL 18

Hi Everyone!

I am home for now. My mom is OK but NOT. She can still do little things but because of a life time of asthma that is now emphysema and the overall name COPD the big things she needs help with. I will be spending more time with her and leaving Mike at home. Thank you for all of the wonderful emails and well wishes. Making these memories with my mom are something that my brother's, who don't help me, will be sorry for later. 

Ahhh watching Game of Thrones last week with mom was awesome!!! Seeing that wicked little king get poisoned. Yeahhhh finally. Hee hee heee

So on to art. Before I left for mom's I did a few paintings. Just playing around nothing too serious.

I will be on the road tomorrow to my mom's to care for her. 

I wanted to get my PPF post up before I left.

I WILL BE GONE FOR A WHILE

Hi Everyone!

 

I just wanted to let all of you know I will be gone for a week or so. My mom is not doing very well. I will be leaving on Early Friday. I will be internet -less. LOL So I will answer all emails when I return. I am closing my Beadwright Store and Beadwright Etsy starting on Friday April 11. If you need Nicole's BeadBacking please order before Friday. I am hoping to be home by April 19th.

 

My mom is a tough cookie so I am sure she will be fine. Her birthday is April 24, she will be 84.

GOT THE BEST START UP SO FAR

IT'S ALMOST GOT TIME

Hi Everyone!

 

For me in the Pacific coast it is almost time for Game of Thrones. I have watched and re watched seasons 1,2 and 3. Just can't get enough of it. LOL I told Mike a year or so ago that I would like to live there. (In GOT) he replied, "You already do" LOL Hey I admit it I WOULD go live there if I could. Butttttt siggghhhhh I live in the hear and now. So what did you do today while waiting for Season 4 of GOT?

I painted most of the day. Mike came into my studio and asked what I wanted for my birthday. AAAhh daauuuhhhh..... I had forgotten about that... without a thought or a blink of an eye I said, " A set of nice paint brushes and some good acrylic paints" So we will see what happens.

SATURDAY PHOTOS

It is Saturday and the day is dark and gloomy here in Florence, OR. Just a good day to stay in and clean house while I watch/listen to The Game of Thrones. I don't really need to "watch" it I know it almost my heart. LOL

Yesterday we had to drive South to the Reedsport. We decided to take a walk on the docks just to get a few photos.

IT'S THURSDAY YEAAAYYYY PPF

Hi Everyone!

 

OK so my title may not make any sense to some of you. Thursday and Paint Party Friday PPF?

Well PPF comes from the wonderful Eva and Kristen who live in the east. I live in the west. So at midnight eastern time it is Friday. It is 9PM here in the west. So again Yeaahhhh it's Thursday and PPF! Visit all the wonderful artists who participate.

I have been away for a few weeks but I am back and full of art energy so get ready. Tonight I am showing a painting that is for my beautiful daughter April and her husband Dax. They are buying a new home and wanted some art. This is not finished but I am liking it so far. Hope you do to.

FUTURISTIC SKELETONS

Hi Everyone!

 

Today already seem like I am running on empty. I will take some herbs and get myself going here. I wanted to show you some art that just fascinates me.
