I AM ALMOST BACK... MOVING SUCKS....

Hi Everyone!!

 

I have missed all of you!!! My email will be up and running this weekend. I just wanted to check in and tell you that we are moved! Are we settled in NOOOO.... There were a few bumps in the road. Moving next door has been the worst move ever. We had movers that just did what they wanted to do and not listen to where we needed things. A new floor was going in so items had to go upstairs, and then into huge trailer. We were going to hire the movers back to transfer everything from the trailer to the house..... however..... too many things just went wrong with them. So Mike and I have been moving things ourselves. This is just too much for our old broken bodies. Seriously, it would be easier to move cross country than this move. Today I did get my PC up and running and hopefully tomorrow I can work on my art room. One day at a time right?

Oh my mailing address is the same so no changes there.

I hope all of you have been well this last month. I look forward to reading your blogs and emails.

LAST PUSH ON THE MOVE

Hi Everyone!

 

Well we have all been working waaaayyy too hard. The movers come tomorrow and we will be sleeping in our new house tomorrow night. Ohhh and guess what?? I have a beautiful bathtub. I have miss that so much in this house. My Internet and TV won't be hooked up until the 21st, good thing we have lots of movies. Right?

 I thought I would leave you (temporarily) with a great place to shop for art supplies.

I do push as hard as I can and then of course I have to take time off. I know better, but things have to get done. OKayyyy, I am ready for the scolding. Go ahead I am ready LOL

GOT THE SHOT OUUCCCHHH AGAIN

Hi Everyone!!

 

What is it this month? Isn't August suppose to be sunny and hot and full of summer? It is raining again today. We are running our heater and I feel like I better get my ear muffs out. LOL Mike and I did get a bit of outside painting done yesterday before my foot started hurting. OK OK so I am suppose to get the injection and come home and elevate my foot. But Mike really could not do the bending for this painting job. I just sat on my foot stool and got it done. Then came in and took care of the foot.

I hate to be a baby but seriously those injects are one step from SCREAMING. LOL

Foot feels pretty good today. I am going to wrap it up and get some things done in the new house.

So what are you doing? Beading, painting, playing in the warm sun somewhere?  What ever it is have fun and a very nice day

RAIN RAIN GO AWAY

Hi Everyone!

 

I have so much to do with moving, inside and out and it is fricken raining. REALLY??? LOL I was going to do a bit of house painting this morning and woke up to a wet mess. OK so I will paint tomorrow and work inside. I do get my left foot injection today so we will see how good I am after that. I am so glad the injections work.

 

Because of this rainy day I am showing some umbrellas. Didn't know I liked them so much. LOL

FRUIT BOUNTY YUMM

Hi Everyone!

 

You can not believe how much fruit we have this year! Also the Ravens have gone some place else because we don't have a one in the yard eating our apples. One tree is so full that it broke! The weight pulled it up by the roots. We don't water these trees because the water table is so low. With that said some one told me the trees are water logged. Hmmm I don't know about that but I do know I am making apple turn overs tomorrow.

PLUMBS OFF MY TREE

Hi Everyone!

 

Hope all of you had a great weekend. All is good here. Getting ready for another injection in my foot on Wednesday. EEEKKKKKK!!!! it is worth it!!!!

So Mike went out and brought in a bowl of plumbs from the tree in our back yard. They are soooooo sweet and juicy. We have a bumper crop of apples and anther plumb tree that grows yellow plumbs.

 

These will be gone in no time.

YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS CHERRY PIE MADE WITH NBB AMAZING

Hi Everyone!

Can't sleep so there is no reason tossing n turning. I opened my email to find the "sweetest" email from my friend Donna Zattau. She has an imagination that she carries over into her art that always impresses me. Her email suggested I go to Beading Daily and put in a search for "reveal" OMGGGG!!! I have seen a LOT of things made with Nicole's BeadBacking but this is at the top of the list. Donna you are the NBB queen of the day. Thank you!

Beaded cherry pie with Nicole's BeadBacking pie crust. Brilliant!!

 It is made up of various lampwork beads in clear red with black bumps, other lampwork beads in dark pink, red and black and some littler ones to fill in the bead embroidered "pie" which was done on Nicole's Bead Backing which happens to come in "crust" color. I made up the lattice with DBM621 transparent opal s/l butterscotch delicas. It is mounted on a wide brass cuff which was covered in berry colored fabric (gen-U-ine Chevrolet replacement material from my local upholstery shop) which is a closer match than what appears in the picture, and edged in DB1805 satin golden rose delicas.  Hope you get a giggle out of my desserts.
