I feel like it has been a successful week for drawing. I hope your art week has been a good one as well.
She starts like this. Actually she started with a sketch but I don't have a photo of that. 😁
Stage 2. I'm very happy with her nose.
Next, getting the eyes right and more shading.
This is my hand drawing. I do wear a compression glove for my lupus hand and it helps with not smearing the graphite. I draw on an easel with an attached light. 
Here she is starting to come alive.
and I finished with this. I like how I was able to create her features. For me it's improvement.

1983 Alaska. In the back is me, my dad, I'm leaning on my brother Steve, in the chair is my brother Tom, and on the floor is my daughter April and my brother Pat.

We all just woke up but Mr. M. wanted the photo.

I love your photo with the bow/arrow, Nicole.
It struck me today how the middle F in FFO could be said differently if one were in a mood.
Her nose IS pretty spectacular, with that wonderful highlighting, and her eyes are riveting too! And I love your depiction of her short hair!

It's always amazing how the faces you draw come more and more alive as you go through all the steps. And I love seeing the old photos. The one from the early 80's is definitely time stamped. You have a lovely family Nicole, even if I know your Grandmother and Mother have passed, they are still family. Have a super Friday and start to your weekend. hugs-Erika

I love the portrait, Nicole. I still don't know how you do it - how long does it take to finish drawing such a detailed portrait? I also really like her hair - I think short hair is difficult to draw.
Those old pictures are wonderful, I enjoy seeing more of you and your family. Great shot with the bow. Maybe we should call you Katniss now :)

I am afraid to ask what you were aiming at with your sling shot.. Hunting , unless out of necessity, is something I could never do. I feel guilty if I step on a bug😂 Anyway, another great post and I think it is nice how you share the art of some of your followers :)
