Welcome To Friday Face OFF (FFO)
This is the place to show off your face art.
You
know, ANY type of face, nature, the face of a flower, photography,
drawings, paintings, AI. There just needs to be a face in your blog post, a
link back to my blog and please use the image below.
Thank you.
Hi Everyone!
I feel like it has been a successful week for drawing. I hope your art week has been a good one as well.
She starts like this. Actually she started with a sketch but I don't have a photo of that. 😁
Next, getting the eyes right and more shading.
This is my hand drawing. I do wear a compression glove for my lupus hand and it helps with not smearing the graphite. I draw on an easel with an attached light.
Here she is starting to come alive.
and I finished with this. I like how I was able to create her features. For me it's improvement.
More very old photos
1983 Alaska. In the back is me, my dad, I'm leaning on my brother Steve, in the chair is my brother Tom, and on the floor is my daughter April and my brother Pat.
I have shown this one before.
Me, April, my Nan, and my Mom.
Now for some features
I will be joining Gillena
Now it's time to show me your face.
Nicole

Wow she came out super-great!!! And such fun photos! Have a hppy FFO! (I sadly still just cannot)
The face you drew turned out great. I love how you shared the strep out photos. It' wonderful, Nicole.
I've joined the Friday Face Off with a few smiley children's faces (and a cat face). Your drawn face is beautiful. It's amazing to see how you develop it.
It is great to see old photos. Looking at the boys, it is clearly the seventies. And I love that pyjama pic.
Good shot. Did you do archery too?
Happy Friday!,
Lisca
...Nicole, I'm always fascinated by your progression of images of your face drawings! thanks for sharing them and hosting the party.
I really love your drawings! Wish I knew how to draw or paint...
Nice work on the face, Nicole. I am glad to see you are being creative. I haven't done much, but I did manage a post for today.
I love your photo with the bow/arrow, Nicole.
It struck me today how the middle F in FFO could be said differently if one were in a mood.
Her nose IS pretty spectacular, with that wonderful highlighting, and her eyes are riveting too! And I love your depiction of her short hair!
Such a beautiful drawing, Nicole.
Fun to have photos of days gone by.
You have a lovely family.
Enjoy the weekend. Thanks for hosting!
Beautiful portrait Nicole and thanks for the feature!
It's always amazing how the faces you draw come more and more alive as you go through all the steps. And I love seeing the old photos. The one from the early 80's is definitely time stamped. You have a lovely family Nicole, even if I know your Grandmother and Mother have passed, they are still family. Have a super Friday and start to your weekend. hugs-Erika
I really enjoyed seeing the step by step art and it's a great portrait drawing.
Nice to see your photographs too.
Happy Friday Wishes.
All the best Jan
It's so interesting to read about your thought process as you work on your portraits. Looking through old pictures is so much fun. Happy FFO!
It's so interesting to see the development of a drawing.
Lovely family photographs, too - the four generation one is a treasure.
Your portrait is awesome as always ~ such talent ~ Hugs ^_^
I love the portrait, Nicole. I still don't know how you do it - how long does it take to finish drawing such a detailed portrait? I also really like her hair - I think short hair is difficult to draw.
Those old pictures are wonderful, I enjoy seeing more of you and your family. Great shot with the bow. Maybe we should call you Katniss now :)
Have a lovely weekend!
Glad you had a good art week
Happy Friday
Thanks for linking to AFFF
Much love
I love seeing your faces and the step-out processes. I would never imagine the outcome from those first lines!
The girl you drew is amazing! So beautiful, so alive. And I loved your family photos, Nicole. The four generation ones become more precious with time. Hi to Mr. M. May you both have a relaxing and fun weekend! ❤️
Boa tarde minha querida amiga Nicole.
I love your drawing and like other people, like to see the process/progress.
I appreciate how you show the progression of you features. It helps me learn the process and it is also awesome.
And, you indeed, have a handsome family ... I just wonder if your boys are still sporting those mustashes :)
I am afraid to ask what you were aiming at with your sling shot.. Hunting , unless out of necessity, is something I could never do. I feel guilty if I step on a bug😂 Anyway, another great post and I think it is nice how you share the art of some of your followers :)

What a lovely face you created, well done.
Back from a short break. Nice drawings again dear Nicole. Hope your problems with lupus will deminue soon. Such a nice pic of your family back in 83 Alaska.
Have a good time
Violetta
