FFO

Welcome To Friday Face OFF (FFO)

This is the place to show off your faces or your face. Post any type of face from any medium. You can create it, or find it in nature, or even that face in the design of the
woodwork in your house.
Human, animal, alien, or monster.
ANY KIND OF FACE!

Here is the dead skull I have been working on. I didn't' feel the brain idea so that will go on another skull. I have to find the right eyes for her, rot the teeth and put some patches of hair.
I love the bits of latex showing through. It's like fat just under the skin.

I did fine some dolls made by a Russian couple that will amaze you.
Here is Anastasiya and Sergey Lutsenko

Anastasiya and Sergey Lutsenko, a couple of talented artists from the Russian City of Krasnoyarsk, are famous among doll collectors all around the globe as two of the world’s most meticulous doll makers. They can spend several months on a single piece, but it is this attention to details that makes the final product so impressive.

I don't know if you will remember this. Several years ago after harvesting string beans the dried branches were too beautiful to throw out. I pulled on them and the roots came up as well. All these years it has been hanging in my art room. I found an old clay face I made and I think its time to make something special with these.

I'm hoping that when I finish with her she will be a magical spirit doll.
Now for what I would like to have. I could fill all of these with herbs and spices.
Up date on our car. Mr. M. put the OBD scanner on the car. It read bad bad and more bad.
We called the mechanic and the car goes in today at 8AM.
Now for some features.

Don't forget to link up with Gillena

That's it for today, now it's time to show me your face.

Your skull looks rather eerie to me.
WOW, the doll with red hair looks as if she could speak.
I am sorry to hear that the car is having such troubles.

One could think the skull has a left eye!
Those dolls are beautiful! And the dead string beans look special indeed, nice they get an afterlife. Herb-skulls sounds practical-beautiful, too.
Hope your car-costs don´t go through the roof...

The development of the skull is fascinating. I like what you did with the dried string beans branches so far. I first thought they're beautiful as they are, but with the clay face they're coming to life. Thank you for the feature - there seems to be a color scheme. Have a lovely weekend.

That root art is amazing. Now that is a great idea, and you are right, just the roots are beautiful, but add the face and it is amazing. Those dolls are almost too life like and kind of creepy though. Have a great Friday and weekend ahead. hugs-Erika

I really love what you did with your bean roots! (Even before you did, they looked artistic just hanging on your wall!) I might have two posts to share here. Happy week and thanks for hosting!

...bad, bad and more bad sure isn't good. Take care and be well.

Hi Nicole, If I hit send on this comment too early, sorry about that! I love what you did with the bean roots, though I have to say they looked really artistic and like an art installation just on your wall! Those dolls. Wow. Happy weekend and thanks for hosting!

I'm sorry that your car needs major repairs. That is always upsetting. Your skulls are amazing and so is that doll collection. Wishing you all the best!

OMGosh! Those dolls they make look so real they are almost creepy, too--lol! I really like the root/twiggy hair. Brilliant idea!
Your skull head is coming along quite creepily, too. ;) Hope the car won't need anything big.
