Friday Face OFF Painting the Face

Welcome To Friday Face OFF (FFO)

This is the place to show off your faces or your face. Post any type of face from any medium. You can create it, or find it in nature, or even that face in the design of the
woodwork in your house.
Human, animal, alien, or monster.
ANY KIND OF FACE!

Last week I showed you a face I started you can see the process here.
From this point I painted it with several coats of liquid latex. It takes 3 or 4 days to dry. Once it does if feel like skin.

Now, I have had the most difficult time painting this face. I have put color to it and just don't like it. The good thing with a latex skin you can wash the paint off. I have done that 3 times now. uhhhggg...
As you can see the face is muddy and creepy. Not the good kind of creepy.

A bit of paint left in the cracks after a washing.

And now it has a base coat on it and I will try to do a better job of painting it.
I hope your week of art went better than mine. LOL

Now for something too cute. My greatgrand kids.

So lets look at some features.

Nicole, you made a really ugly face - but your grand children are very, very cute 💕💕
Happy weekend to you and yours 😘💖

Actually I liked him! Or her? Looking forward to what you´ll come with in the end.
The kids are too cute. I always wanted a big brother and still I have the feeling I am carrying him around (5 1/2 years younger than me).
To a great Friday (I am on the way up, maybe).

Your face is coming along great. It's so interesting how with eyes the face looks so much more real. And that photo is too cute. Love it. Have a great weekend Nicole. hugs-Erika

My week was busy with a lot of other things and very little art. So, I will be showing an older face again today.

Dear Nicole, I think the face has turned out very well so far. And as far as the painting is concerned - I know from experience that sometimes it takes a few failed attempts to really have a positive effect on the result.
To be on the safe side, I wish you Happy Holidays - better too early than too late!
Warm greetings from Austria, Traude

I found the face utterly disturbing, infused with suffering, Nicole! Very effective. I look forward to seeing the final result. Your great grand children are adorable! Take care of you, my friend!

That's actually neat that you can wash off the paint if you don't like it. Maybe the next time is the charm.
Sweet pic of the grandkids!
Have a contented weekend. :)

Hi Nicole, It is, kind of, strange. Your "ugly" faces seems quite friendly and nice. I don't think they, really, can scare anyone. :)

It's good that you can wash the paint off the head. Cute Grandkids.

I have a couple this time! The faces ARE creepy, as you said -- but fascinating! Love your little ones!
