Hi Everyone!
Today I'm joining the T-Party over
at Bleubeard and Elizabeth's. I'm posting quite early, I have a dental appt today and won't be able to get this up this evening.
I mentioned in a previous post I was going to try and draw a horse head. I did get it started, just the basic sketching in. There's a lot to do on this to get it finished.
The deer came to visit the other day. There is something in the neighbors grass, or just the grass that they like. Which I'm glad, I don't want them in my yard or garden. This way I can watch them close but not too close.
I got onions planted and they are covered from the 40 mph winds and buckets of rain falling. It is wicked weather right now. I hope they grow as well this year as last year.
I also got the first bucket of potatoes in. I'm going to spread out the starting of each batch this year so I'm not harvesting them all at the same time.
They start like this. 5 gal buckets yield about 30lbs of potatoes. I have larger grow bags that I will start after the this rain ends or at least a break. I will yield 40 to 60lbs from those.
Some foods I made this week.
My take on Arizona Burritos.
Of course Pizza hot out of the oven.
And last evening Mr. M. wanted Peanut Butter Cookies.
And when water gets to be to much,
Nicole

You've made a good start on the horse's head! Mmmm, that Arizona Burrito looks yummy. And I'd have a cookie for dessert, please.
Lovely art and delicious food!
...burritos, now I'm hungry.
Tantalizing start on the horse's head.
Plantings look great.
Your food always looks delicious. :)
awesome portrait of a horse and yummy foods growing and baking at your house ~ thanks,

The burritos look so fantastic!
What a great pizza! I also like the drawing.
Have a nice new week, Nicole.
OO I am jealous you have been planting. It's still too cold at my house. And your food looks delicious. I haven't had my supper yet, and it is making me hungry. The horse is coming along great too. Have a super T day and week ahead Nicole. hugs-Erika
That's a great start on the horse's head. And you are making me hungry with your pizza. Now I want one, too.
All your food looks enticing and I love that water image. Thanks for this amazing entry for T this week, dear Nicole. I also hope the deer stay out of your yard.
Forgot to mention that I hope your appointment went well.
Dentists again … you have too many challenges. I hope you are feeling ok after that.
The peanut butter cookies look great. I tried to make them a few weeks ago and totally messed up and had to throw them out. Now I’m freaked and haven’t baked anything.
Enjoy your sketching: the horse head is neat.

That is a great start to your drawing of a horse head. All that rain makes gardening a bit more challenging. I hope that the rain will stop and you can get your onions and potatoes going. It's certainly nice to watch the deer when they are in someone else's garden - I don't really appreciate them in my garden as well, but they seem to think that I planted this salad buffet just for them. It has become better though because there are more plants now that they don't like. If something is still quite young and has new growth I usually spray it with Liquid Fence, that semms to help quite often. Who knew that deer like fresh and young olive tree growth? Good luck with your dentist appointment! Hugs - Carola
Lovely sketch, Nicole. And nice funny. Happy T Day.
Great horse so far, I look forward too see it finished! Oh, I miss these animals.
Your food looks so yummy!!! I´ll make simple pan pizza this week.
To a great T-Day!
The horse head is off to a great start, and the food looks good.
How lovely to see the deer. We had a pheasant in our garden who made a mess of our lawn, but the squirrels, magpies, crows and pigeons don't help either.
Hope you get a great crop of potatoes this year.
Alison
I will look forward to seeing the completed horse’s head.
I am looking forward to seeing the horse head completed. I don’t know if you know it, but in the past I digitized some horses for machine embroidery. (Digitizing is drawing with a computer program to create designs that an embroidery machine can then sew)
Bom dia e uma excelente terça-feira minha querida amiga Nicole.
Love the horse drawing. I can never get the proportions right. I am eager to jump through the screen for the Arizona Burrito and those peanut butter cookies.
Your horse's head is coming along well, and I hope your veggies will grow and thrive! Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie
Nice start on the horse head. Himself is getting itchy to get out in the garden, too. I laughed at your deer comment. All the joy of watching the deer without them nibbling your plants. 😸 Happy T Day
Great horse drawing so far. It looks very promising.
Wonderful that you have started the planting. And staggering the potatoes is a good idea.
Your food looks yummy especially the peanut butter cookies.
Lisca
