T Stands for ....

 Hi Everyone!

Today is T-Day over at
Bleubeard and Elizabeth's. Come visit to see what everyone is doing these days.

For me....I'm on the last leg of getting ready for my show. It's this Saturday and if you are in the Florence, OR. area stop on by.

I have been trying to collect as many skulls and skeletons as I can afford to keep me going until next year.
(I have a very strict art budget.)
I love Joanne's Fabric. I got all of these for %50 off and then the cashier hit a coupon for me and I got all of this for the price of one skeleton, which is under $35.00.
The skeletons are 3' tall, the skulls are 9". That's a big size.
The Monkey is 16" and the frog is 7".
All of these are very high quality with moving parts. I love em!

When was the last time you made Rice Crispy Treat? It's been decades for me. Why would I have the ingredients for this? A few months ago I wanted some cold cereal. (Something I don't eat) I got R.C. OMG they are horrible. So as not to let the box go to waste I made this. Now this is good! :)

I'm working with a lot of heat and things that can burn my hands. I got these excellent heat resistant gloves, that actually fit me, from Amazon for just a few bucks. They are perfect.

I'm not complaining, Just asking a question. Where you live how much has food gone up? Today, I bought 2 gallons of milk, 2 loaves of bread, (buy one get one free) ha ha ha.  5 apples, 4 peaches (both on sale) 1 bottle of 7-UP $40.00
I had the cashier to go over the receipt. I know her so it was not a problem. It was right.  Also gas is $4.70 a gal.

My drink this week is sparkling, ice cold,

7 UP. This was in the freezer, I love my drinks right at the freeze zone. LOL

Well that's it for now. See ya at the party.

Nicole

Food prices have risen here also, but not nearly as high as that (I don't think so anyway.) I paid $3.77 for a gallon of milk a couple of days ago.

Wow, you certainly have skeletons.... Food has gone up here. I don't buy a lot as I eat very simply at home. My weekly shopping bill used to be +/- 25€. Now it's about 40€ +++. That's a big difference.
Happy T Day, Valerie

Great deal on the skeletons. I like Rice Krispies but haven't bought any in ages. There are cereals I like better.

Great gloves!

Food has gone up horribly :( while at the same time sizes have decreased. Have you looked at packaged cookies lately?! And the cookies themselves are smaller and thinner now, too. :(

I used to drink 7-up, though never the zero sugar kind, but that's another think I haven't had in decades.

Before we moved to the lake, a neighbor friend and I would drive to the big city of springfield mo about an hour or more drive away-we would search online for coupons for jo anns and others-they have really good sales there, Living so rural we don't have any shopping like that nearby.
Yes food as really gotten very expensive, early spring one of our neighbor friends said that he rear that food we be going up allot before winter-since I don't have a way to garden or can anymore I started on stocking up on canned goods-fruits, tomatoes, meats etc all summer. allot of canned fruits with no sugar added are over two dollars a can now and apricots are close to 3.00 not sure what this govt is trying to achieve with this-I guess we'll find out one day.
good luck with our art sale

$4.70 a gallon of gas. Ouch. I paid $3.55/ gallon. I think that is ridiculous. I was I the grocery store today and I wanted blueberries and they were $4.99 a pint. I'll wait for a sale week or check another store. So I walked right by. Everything is priced crazy right now. And your Rice Crispy Squares look yummy. I haven't had those in a long time. And your skeletons are cool. I like that monkey. Have a great week and I hope you get already for your sale. And happy T day. hugs-Erika

It's been years since I have had rice crispy snacks and I miss them!
Food has certainly gone up in price here, I think it is everywhere. I shop at Aldi and have found the prices to still be affordable despite the increase.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate

Very cool! Sadly I live like really far away but I wish you all the fun and success possible!
Food prices went up here, too, but stay there (for) now.
Soon here cold drinks will be history and hot tea it will be...
Have a happy T-Day!

You definitely scored at JoAnne's. SO glad you were able to get the skeletons so cheap. I hope you are able to get at least one finished in time for the show this weekend. I'll be thinking of you and wishing you the very best. I truly hope it is a success.

I haven't had or made rice crispy treats in years. They are very sweet, which may be why I haven't made any.

I don't know where you shop, Nicole, but that seems like an exceptionally high price for no more than you got. I even put an avocado back yesterday because it was nearly $1.00. Like Kate, I shop at Aldi. I paid a little over a dollar for a dozen eggs, yet I remember when they were nearly five dollars a dozen. My half and half has stayed the same price, and I got a good bargain on cottage cheese, which had been reduced by a few cents. I buy colby jack cheese by the the slab. I never buy cheese slices. It's the same price it's been all year. Sally keeps telling me to buy frozen veggies, but I get a can of green beans for $0.50, so why buy the frozen which is more expensive. Still, what I would have paid two years ago, now costs at least a third more.

I also like 7-up, but not the zero sugar. I very seldom buy any soft drinks, though. Thanks for letting me rant about food. Thanks, too, for sharing your skeleton score, your rice crispy treats, and your 7-up with us for T this Tuesday, dear Nicole.

I think you need more skeletons lol. Good luck with your show next week, hope it all goes well. Food prices have doubled for a lot of things here, and some of it for no reason like dairy for example, when we are a huge dairy producer locally here. Still trying to be as frugal as possible and not waste anything. Happy T Day! Elle xx

Groceries are expensive here, but nowhere near what you are paying. Thank goodness for that.

Those gloves are really useful, Nicole!
With regards to inflaction, since early 2022, food's prices have been rising sharply in EU countries.

Our groceries are nothing like that. Gas either -- Today I saw it for 3.55, some 3.65. But tomorrow it will probably come down -- it always does on Wednesday. A couple of weeks ago it was 3.25. (But I got it for about 2.50 as I had a 75% coupon!)
