All of you know I write and publish FFO on Thursday. Today, we got rain!
It's the first rain in many months. I hope it helped with all the fires we have. Sooooo... what did I do today? I had fun! Everything I created just worked. I love days like this. I'm not going to show you what I made but I will soon.
For now here is my FFO. OMG!!! it's not a corpsed skull. LOL
I love this girl's eyes and her freckles.
Her hair was very tight so I think I did that OK.
I'm going to try to draw again. At least something once a week. But, remember, I am in full corpsing mode.
Mr. M. and I had to go the Bi-Mart yesterday and what did I find?

I have already created with the Rat.
It is so darn cool. I will show you next week.
I also promised to show how I created this
It's really very easy. You just need a bit a patients and a some skill with the heat gun.
first find a skull and wrap it in a thin plastic

Have your heat gun ready. A hair dryer will not work for this.

Working over the entire skull make wrinkles and creepy skin.

Allow the plastic to cool off and set while you are working. Then continue with the heat gun.

Just keep working around and on the bottom

until you have it the way you like

I over heated the eyes, oops not to worry.

Simply add a piece of plastic to the place you need more and reheat it.

 Needs just a little more.

 Now the eyes look better.

I didn't take photos of the next step because it is very messy and I didn't want to touch my camera. However, put on some gloves and brush the wood stain all over the skull. I use my hands to make sure it gets into the cracks and creases.

After the stain is dry I added the gums and teeth. for this one I used clay. Oh and I cut the piece of plastic that was in the mouth out. Even though it looks cool, I couldn't get the teeth in right. After the clay dries paint the gums and teeth so they look creepy.

I wish all of you could come to my show to see these creatures IRL. They are so cool and the photos just don't do them justice.

Now for our feature
I love these faces.

That's it for tonight, it's your turn to show me your face.

T Stands for food from the garden

 Hi Everyone!

Today is Tuesday and that means we all gather at Bleubeard and Elizabeth's for a grand party. Be sure to stop by there.

First here is my ticket to get into the T-Party. No more instant for me. LOL

Now for some food.

A few weeks ago we went to the Bandon Farmer's Market. I got 4 amazing Poblano peppers for a few bucks. These I roasted and made Chili Relleno casserole. No I don't have a photo of it. It was so good.

Also from the F.M. I got some luscious peaches so I made peach jam. We picked blackberries in our yard and so we have BB jam too.

This is a meal that with the exception of mushrooms and egg noodles everything came from the garden. Yummm.

The Mexican squash, all of a sudden has taken off. It's only been planted since Feb. Oh well, it's here now.

I learned that if you start onions and garlic in a cold pan, you won't burn them. Onion from the garden.

 Garlic from my neighbors garden.

A pan with my homemade Ghee. I don't waste a bit of it. I put the jar in the micro to melt the very last of it.

Add chopped onions and garlic, cook until tender. Then set aside.

These potatoes are from my garden too.

Peel, slice and then fry until golden.

While the potatoes are frying cook up some ground meat. Season to taste. When it is cooked add the onions/garlic and fried potatoes. Mix together.

Now, let me tell you where this meal comes from. When I was 21 and my kids were little, I was a cook on a ranch in NV. It was 50 miles from the nearest, anything. Me, my kids and 30 cowboys. I mean real cowboys. The ranch was 10,000 acres and there was cattle, buffalo, horses and we grew alfalfa. The cowboys tested me the first few days but when they saw I wasn't going to give in to them I gained great respect. It was a grand job and place to raise my kids. However, after a few years the owners closed it all down. I would still be there had it stayed open. This was one of the cowboys favorite meals. Mr. Ms too.

Remember the onions I started from the roots of onions? Well here is one I picked yesterday. It is sweet as can be and huge.

I want to save these roots for next year. I have an email into the onion guy on how to dry them out.

This lovely guy will be a tutorial this Friday for Friday Face OFF. It's made differently than some of my other corpses. I do have something pretty that day too. LOL.

Well, I guess that's it for now. See ya at the party.

Friday Face OFF

Welcome to Friday Face OFF (FFO)

This is where you can show any kind of face in any medium. Let your imagination go wild. Then link your blog to this one, link up with MR. Linky and start leaving comments. You will not be disappointed.

Before I get started, I want to thank everyone for all the nice comments during my pity party about having my medical appt. cancelled and set up another 6 week wait, again. I do believe Peace Health has some serious management problems. In fact, yesterday they announced they are closing the hospital in Eugene. They have closed so many departments across Oregon that I wish some other entity would come buy them out.
So, thanks everyone!

Now for FFO.
A few weeks ago I came home with a treasure trove of skulls, skeletons and scary things. I started with the skulls like this.

They now look like this.
The teeth on these were very fake and plasticy. So, I treated them with stick on fingernails that I got at the $ store and now they look more....creepy?

Two of them also have scars on their heads.

I hope at some point I will be showing other types of faces. LOL But, as you know I am stuck on corpsing.

Now for the featured artist.

I'm also linking up with Gillena.
