Friday Face OFF

Welcome to Friday Face OFF (FFO)

This is where you can show any kind of face in any medium. Let your imagination go wild. Then link your blog to this one, link up with MR. Linky and start leaving comments. You will not be disappointed.

Before I get started, I want to thank everyone for all the nice comments during my pity party about having my medical appt. cancelled and set up another 6 week wait, again. I do believe Peace Health has some serious management problems. In fact, yesterday they announced they are closing the hospital in Eugene. They have closed so many departments across Oregon that I wish some other entity would come buy them out.
So, thanks everyone!

Now for FFO.
A few weeks ago I came home with a treasure trove of skulls, skeletons and scary things. I started with the skulls like this.

They now look like this.
The teeth on these were very fake and plasticy. So, I treated them with stick on fingernails that I got at the $ store and now they look more....creepy?

Two of them also have scars on their heads.

I hope at some point I will be showing other types of faces. LOL But, as you know I am stuck on corpsing.

Now for the featured artist.

I'm also linking up with Gillena.

"Corpsing" -- you've taught me a new word!

Love your skulls! The guys from our bedroom shout a big "hi there", too :-)

Hope there will be a solution to the health-care-problems. Everywhere.
Also for caring homes, I read scary things here. Like carer don´t speak German and have 3 minutes per person.
Imagine that. You survived WWII, helped rebuilding this country and this is how you spend your time then, neglected and not understanding.

But... let´s hope a solution sits just around the corner, we get help and can smile!

With that... a happy, skully Friday to you :-)

Dearest Nicole,
oh no, what you're saying about the topic health care sounds really bad. I think politicians (all around the world) should think more about good pay for medical staff, then there would not be such bottlenecks in nurses, doctors and appointments for treatment or operations....
As for your skulls, I'm glad you have so many treasures to work on at the moment. Brilliant, your idea of making teeth out of fingernails that can be glued on. That really looks a lot more appropriate.
You have already seen that my current post is (among other things) about the face of Frida Kahlo. Yes, Frida's fighting spirit is certainly an important part of why we feel so inspired by her. Thank you for your lovely comment and for featuring my blog ❤️ (It was a funny sight to see me "hopping around" in your blog ;-DDD)
Hugs and have a good time!

Those skulls remind me of Vecna on the 4th season of Stranger Things. (except I don't think his teeth show.)

I almost forgot the faceoff today, but my last post (yesterday) has my face in it, so I "cheated" and used that one to link up with you.

I'm still feeling angry on your behalf that you can't get a fair chance with your medical provider. It's the same everywhere. I hope you will be ok.

Using fake fingernails for the teeth on you scary lttle skulls is brilliant. I'm getting to like them more and more.

best, mae at amefood.blogspot.com

Your health care provider must be having problems if they are closing hospitals. That is really sad for everyone who uses them. But a good point in your post is I love your skulls. They are coming along so nicely! It seems like I should write how creepy they are coming along. :) Happy weekend. hugs-Erika

Your skulls are positively ghoulish, Nicole! I'll have to tell my manicurist Yong about the ghastly teeth ~ lol! How creative and effective! I'm sorry that the health care situation in your area is struggling. Please treat yourself kindly and well! xox

Boy, you miss a post or two and miss the news. I'm so sorry about your appointment delay. That's so frustrating, especially when you are dealing with real issues and not just a routine visit.

Good grief, Nicole. My sincere apologies. I was SURE I had left a comment, but because I was quite tired, I must have spaced it off. After my meeting on Friday, I stopped at a take out restaurant and got a salad. Took it home. It tasted funny, but I ate it anyway because I've noticed some places add a salad extender to their salads. Soon I was bent over, struggling to stop the wrenching. I was sick all weekend. Now I am marginally better.

I love how you treated those teeth. Fake fingernails was brilliant. You have such a clever mind dear. LOVE it all.

I do like those toothy skulls.

The hospital situation and the health care situation in general in this country is horrible. We're lucky here in Memphis, but outlying counties lack services :( Makes me wonder what "pro-life" really means. -Well, not really... I know what it means :(

You have an amazing imagination. To use dollar store nails for skull teeth was genius! These skulls are as creepy as can be!
I’m just getting back into a little blogging and hope to jump back in on Fridays soon.
