Hi Everyone!
I know I am coming in early for the T-Party but it's now or never for this week. Busy isn't even the word for my day. LOL
Bleubeard and Elizabeth host every week.
Come see what all the fun is about.
When I was a kid my Nanny and Mom would gather us 6 kids (I'm the oldest) together to create all kinds of art. However, at Christmas we would make, "Magic Bottles." Both my Nan and Mom were into making Magic. I will tell you about the Magic Box my Nan had, but at another time.
So each of us older kids would get an old bottle with a cork top. We filled it with water then dropped in some water color paint, any color we wanted. It was already magic watching the colors mix with the water. Since we were pretty young Nan then would send us to the living room for ONE piece of hard Christmas candy. When we returned to the kitchen Nam and Mom would be moving their hands over the colored water bottles saying " Abracadabra colors free make the motion show to thee." Then we could put on the tops and shake the bottles.
We truly believed that Nan and Mom were magical. (Note; I had to phone my brother to ask them what the spell was. We had a great laugh.)
So what was this magic?
I had actually forgotten about this until I saw something similar on line. I had to bring back the memory. Here it is.
And the magic to make this happen is a bit of mica.
Now, I need to get into the kitchen to make some cookie magic for my neighbors. Each year we trade off goodies.
My drink today is coffee and biscotti. Yes, I started drinking "real" coffee again. The instant just wasn't doing it for me. LOL.
That is it for now. I hope your day is the best ever.

I am wishing you and yours a happy and joyous holiday season.
Childhood inspires us in good ways, wonderful memory. Coffee and biscotti looks good.
That is really clever for them to use the mica like that!! Great memories!
Instant coffee has never done it for me--lol! ;)
...there never seems to be enough time at Christmas.
Those cookiee are really unusual, Nicole :-) ... perfect for a coffee break!
Have a nice week!
Having fun with the family and friends is always magic. Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie
I would have believed they were magic too!
Magic! We need more of it. Also more cookies.

I hear you about regular coffee. Moderation, though, 1 cup of regular keeps me awake long enough.
Happy Cookie Baking!
Trading cookies and enjoying a tea party is so good to do in the festive season
... keep the season as magical as we can.
All the best Jan
a great memory and fun video-Happy T and new week too hugs
They created the type of magic that is so wonderful (and magical) at Christmas. What a fun memory you shared, dear Nicole. Yes, real coffee is better. And your biscotti looks great, too. Thanks for sharing your magic bottle idea and your coffee and biscotti with us for T this week. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas.
What a lovely and sweet memory! This must have really put the magic into Christmas for you as kids.
I love your Nanny and Mom magic story. That really is wonderful magic, and I can just hear them saying to go get a piece of hard candy so they could sneak the mica in. And your biscotti looks yummy. Have a great T day Nicole. I hope its as magical as your post is. hugs-Erika
Keep the magic going this Christmas. Best wishes Nicole
What a sweet post and great memory.
I can so imagine calling your Brother and laughing real hard! Wonderful and the video is great, too!
As sharing cookies. To a happy T-Day!
That's a great childhood memory. The real magic in this post is that you went back to real coffee. Now that's magic!
What a fun tradition. I love it! Happy Holidays.
What a fun story, Nicole. Thanks so sharing it. The real coffee always has a way of winning - at least for me. Your plate looks yummy.
Merry Christmas and hoping you feel good inside and out! Happy T-day too. Many hugz
Ah the joys of a magical childhood. That is a great story of a time when we were entertained with simpler things.
That must have been great fun doing magical art activities as a child, I'm quite jealous. Never seen that bottle thing before. Happy T Day! Elle/EOTC xx

Cool magical memory :) I'll join you for coffee. Happy T Tuesday!
What a cool memory! Happy T day Nicole! Hugs! deb
What a lovely memory.
Your biscotti are looking very ornate. When I lived in Italy, I used to bake them but nothing as fancy as yours.
Happy T-Day and have a lovely Christmas, if you celebrate it.
Hugs,
Lisca
Hey Nicole! Cookies and magic? I'm in. The video played well for me. So neat to see! Cheers, Ivy.
What wonderful memories, thanks for sharing 😊. Those cookies look so delicious, I bet your neighbours loved them. Happy T Day wishes and Happy Holidays! Hugs Jo x
What a fun memory and a great craft to do with children.
Happy Tea Day and Merry Christmas,
Kate
Great memory. Have a lovely T Day and Merry Christmas!
Nicole,
What a fun memory from your childhood! I bet that was something you and your siblings looked forward to every year. Isn't it sweet to see that same magic through the eyes of our once small children and now our grandkids? That is magical! Anyway, I love how your Mom and Nan turned ordinary color water (with the help of a secret ingredient) into magic. This would be fun to do with my LA. :) Mmm, biscottis and coffee! Yum, that sounds good. For years, I've wanted to make home-made biscottis and have yet to do it. What am I waiting on? Oh yeah, my waist line to shrink a little. lol Seriously, I have got to make some in the new year! Here's hoping you and the Mister have a blessed Christmas weekend. Sending hugs to you to keep you warm!!
How cool!!!
Dear Nicole,
your childhood bottle magic story is simply AMAZING! I love it!
I wish you and your loved ones a wonderful Christmas time
