Hi Everyone!
The base on both of these is a 1.5" plastic skull. The skin is applied and dried. |
There is 3 layers of acrylic paint and 1 layer of pastel to make them look dead. The hair is from old wigs. |
I found shrimp on sale and couldn't pass it up. Butter garlic with dill and parsley over angel hair pasta. with some squash. |
One night we had breakfast for dinner. |
I don't normally get hungry during the day, however, when I do and egg on homemade toasted french bread does it for me. |
Another snack we both like is Cottage Cheese and pineapple. Now, for some reason my card reader is not working on my PC so this is a photo from google. |
Last but not least is blueberry cake. Hot out of the oven. |
Cooled, sprinkled with powder sugar and ready to eat. |
That's it for now. I have to straighten up my art room so I can start playing again tomorrow.
Don't forget to join me for Friday Face OFF. The link is available every Friday at midnight pacific standard time USA

I LOVE your shrunken heads Sis!! 🎃🎃
I was inspired when you told me you were doing them. I've got some apples and I'm going to make mine tomorrow! They look fabulous, I can't wait to see them finished! The food looks very yummy. Breakfast for dinner is always delicious!
your dolls gave me shiver lol but your food made me forget it instantly dear Nichole
whatever you do you do it so perfectly :)
I have to confess that the finer points of shrinking heads is not something I an anxious to delve into!
I will enjoy seeing how you do the skin on these "shrunken heads."
...I like the food better have the faces!
My favourite is the picture of egg on homemade toasted french bread :-) ... I also see spaghetti with shrimps' in one of your pictures. Unfortunately, shrimps' price has been rising sharply since last summer :-( ... when shrimps weren't so expensive I used to prepare them with the lemon juice in a bowl, adding to taste cayenne pepper.
The shrimps were served with crème fraîche and some freshly cracked pepper.
Looking forward to watching your mummified shrunken heads when they will be finished!
Oh man, those shrunken heads are TERRIFYING!
Eerie skulls, scary. Delicious food
Those shrunken heads are fascinating! And oh, tht blueberry cake looks divine!

Thanks for dropping by.
Much❤love
Love those heads! Happy Halloween :)
Loving your shrunken heads!
Breakfast is more often for supper than for breakfast at my house. I like cottage cheese with fruit. I usually keep either cottage cheese or yoghurt on hand to eat for lunch, and fruit is always a part of that.
those are spooky shrunken heads for sure-curious how you finish them up
food all looks delicious
Incredible shrunken heads. Glad you shared the information, since I knew very little about them.
I am SO hungry and your meals all look so great. See you tomorrow for FFO.
Those shruken heads are perfect for Halloween (or anytime). and boy your food looks yummy. Breakfast for dinner is a favorite of mine. hugs-Erika
Wow, these are VERY cool!
Haha, I can´t remember when that was but we had a mummy in the museum, there was a school class and one girl fainted seeing her, LOL!
Looking forward to the making of!
You don´t eat in the day?! I would starve! Well, I have enough to not to .. ;-)
In for the eggs here!
OOOOO ... shrunken heads. Your have macabre taste and I love it. I wouldn't love it in real life, but for a fun artistic endeavor ... Awesome! Your food is wonderful. I would willingly eat any or all of it were I at your table. Isn't it a shame that we can't be artistic without making a mess to clean up ... if anyone figures out a way, they will make a million :) Happy, Horrifying Holloween, Nicole :0
Andrea @ From the Sol
will be interesting to see them when finished :)
Your food looks delicious, especially the blueberry cake, Nicole. I'm soon going to have to get serious about making dinner. I keep getting interrupted by phone calls and texts from my siblings. Interrupted is the wrong word, because I love communicating with them. I hope you are having a great evening!
