Friday Face OFF 10/21/22

 Greetings!

Another week gone by and I have another skull in graphite. I know you may be getting tired of seeing skulls but I seem to be in rhythm with them, and we all know the more practice the better one gets.
So here it is.
I have some frames that have been put away and my skull art will fit in them. Once I am done with skulls I will have a nice collection for the wall.
From skulls to witches. You know this is my time of year. Well, actually all year round but people don't think I'm "that" weird in October. I used to know the history of some of these ladies, but old age and the need to "not" know has taken over. They are perfect for Friday Face OFF.

Now for FFO featured artist. This week I have two. The first is Barbara from Artistic Living. Barbara is taking time off from blogging. So I wanted to feature her because before I opened this up to anyone who wants to join in. It was just me and Barbara showing our faces. She is an incredible artist that has inspired me.
My next featured artist is...

I am linking up with Gillena for

I look forward to seeing all the faces this week. It's your turn show me your face.

Simply rules; post any kind of face in any medium. Link your blog back to mine and to Mr. Linky. Leave a comment and then go visit the other artists. How easy can it get?

Skulls are fun to draw. I probably mentioned when I was in a drawing group I used to draw skulls. The person running the group didn't get it at first, but then she realized how they are a bit challenging to draw. Yours is fantastic, and it does make a perfect Halloween art piece. And I like those witch images too. They are very cool. Thanks for the feature artist shoutout also Nicole. It is much appreciated to be acknowledged. Have a great FRiday and start to your weekend. Hugs-Erika

I never tire of looking at skulls, Nicole, and yours is awesome. I love the photos you shared of the ladies, especially the one with the black cat. I learned early in my life that older people love to have fun too and that inside they are not old. Have a great weekend!

Well, what's with the bullet hole in his head? Makes it much more dramatic, don't you think? I love your skulls. My daughter has loved the "Day of the Dead" skulls for years so we have plenty of them around. Your drawings, however are fantastic ... you would do well in an anatomy class. Your detail is so realistic. And where did you learn this skill? Your witches of the past ... costumes or real witches or both :)? The pictures are awesome ... in fact the whole post is awesome. And I would never think of you as being weird ... confident is a better word for what you are and talented in ever so many ways.

I love these witches. I don't think of skulls and witches as seasonal things, so you don't look weird to me :)

Nicole,

You do such a great job sketching and shading skulls. Very art subject but then this is the perfect season for it, huh? I can't believe October is just about gone!
