TADD with Rain Posted on Wednesday LOL

 Hi Everyone!

Before I get started with TADD I just wanted to say that Mr. M. and I just celebrated 41 years together.
Photo from the 90s.

Today is TADD with Rain and her theme is haunted houses. Now as ghoulish as I am, real haunted houses and spaces I do stay away from. I used to live in a haunted house when my kids were very young. We were never harmed but my kids and I were scared all of the time. Needless to say, we didn't live there very long.  With that said I do like the look of scary houses. Ya know, at a distance. LOL

Now for the dinner part of TADD. I have been doing quite a bit of cooking over the last few weeks but forget to take photos. Duhhh....

This is a flat bread hot off the grill with a cottage cheese, a tiny bit of mayo and ranch dressing mix.

You can top it with anything but this night ground beef, lettuce, tomato, and onion.

My canned ground beef and my home canned chili mix

Add onion, tomatoes, chilies and what ever else you want to put into chili.

I use a corn flour blend tortilla fill it with cheese and chili then roll it up. Air fry until golden on both side. I use the fries setting and turn the heat down.

Top with sour cream and homemade guacamole

Top that with mixed greens and tomatoes. I can't tell you how good this is.

I took tomatoes I got from the Farmer's Market. Skinned them and cooked them down a bit with some herbs. Add cooked Mexican squash and pour over noodles. Mine were left over egg noodles.

This was my dinner for tonight. A simple open face tomato and avocado sandwich.

And for Mr. M. Mini spice cupcakes with powdered sugar. The perfect bite for him.

I am linking up with Rain for TADD

Oh and here is another skull in my house. The light switch in my art room. My Mom made this for me. I sure miss her.

Congrats on 41 years!

I once lived in a supposedly haunted building. I never saw anything scarier than the other living occupants. (It was an old "poorhouse" being used as a college dorm. Now that I think of it, that makes sense: all the college students were poor.)

Cupcakes with powered sugar and tomato & avocado sandwich are my favourites pictures, LOL.
Nice pictures of haunted houses in the US ... I have heard there many terryfing haunted houses near Chicago.

Congrats on your 41st anniversary, Nicole!

Your various flatbread, tortilla and sandwich meals look good. We have also been eating a lot of things that start with a tortilla (corn or flour, not homemade) and add cheese and salad things. It’s an easy way out of cooking, for me.

Happy 41st anniversary. Love the picture of you two. I lived in several haunted houses but nobody ever believed me. I knew though...

I love that photo of you and hubby. Happy 41 years. Time does fly, doesn't it? My daughter told us (when she was little) there was a strange man in brushing his teeth in our bathroom. A ghost man. I've never seen any or even suspected human ghosts in our house but I have seen one of my cats several times. Not scary at all-in fact makes me happy she'd want to hang around. and yummy looking food too! Hugs-Erika

those buildings are actually quite beautiful. Old age is not always a bad thing. :) Glad you have a great life with Mr M. I know nothing about that kind of life. I was never even engaged. But I got myself one daughter. And two grandkids.

Happy 41st!!! I love the photo! Oh and the food Sis...wow. You are quite the chef! It all looks so delicious and bravo for shopping from your pantry to make it!!! All of that canning is paying off!! ☺☺ I LOVE the selection of houses you showed today. I think I also lived in a haunted house, well, it was an apartment when I was in my late teens. I woke up seeing spirits all around me and promptly moved out. I love the skull light switch plate! Talent runs in the family!! ♥♥

happy 41 years! Interesting to read that you grew up in a haunted house, as a child we often encountered strange things too as my mother was a clairvoyant. I hope you enjoy Samhain/Halloween.

You make a handsome pair and Congratulations on 41 years. Long lived marriages seem to be a thing of the past these days, so you can be especially proud of yourselves :) I too keep my distance from Haunted Houses though, strangely enough, both my kids love the thrill of going through the local Haunted Houses put together by the Park District. I can't imagine living in a haunted house ... so what was happening and how did you know it was haunted? Scary Stuff :0 Love your light switch. My kids rooms always had a special light switch depending on what they were into at the time. Some of them are still around just for fun. Wonderful post and once again Congrats on the big "41" ...

Mmm, your food looks so yummy! I've been wanting to make enchiladas for awhile. I had hoped I would've had the chance by now but vacation, son's wedding, and then I was hit hard with seasonal allergies. I'm still struggling to get over this mess. *sigh* Oh well...as soon as I'm back to my old self then I'm going to make some!
