Friday Face OFF 9/2/22

Greetings and welcome to Friday Face OFF. A weekly blog post where we all link up and share a face or two or three or more.

If you are a regular you know I am focusing my graphite drawings to the male face. Seriously different from a female face. I am not trying to draw hyper realistic, just drawing for fun. This poor guy has a very short jaw line and it was difficult not to make it longer. He did have a quirky little smile.

I am also painting a male face. Each week I will show how I am progressing.

 His mouth is so off.

Yay got his mouth fixed. LOL

His eyes are way small. Mr. M. calls him the, "beady eyed guy".

I ran out of time to take photos of faces in my house. I will get some this week for sure.
 In the mean time....
 My Son and DIL

 My Daughter and SIL

Now our featured artist for Friday Face OFF.

I am also linking up with Gillena

this mans face is almost squared so I think the jaw fits him perfectly. :) Well done drawing him :)

With regards to your face (the 1st one), I saw many people with short jaw line in same corners of East Europe ... in the late 1990s I lived there for a while for job, mainly South Romania and North Bulgaria.

Have a nice weekend, Nicole :-)

I hope that the face of the bee on my blog qualifies for the Friday Face-off, Nicole. You do so well with your artistic renditions. I am in awe of your talent.

Gosh, Nicole. The one week I don't link (and I could have, since I had only faces today), you let me know what time you publish your FFO. Thanks for letting me (and everyone) know, dear.

I'm really enjoying these male faces. I am quite impressed.

The short jaw fits this guy - he looks great. I am fascinated by the progress of your painting, it's interesting to see how this man's expression changes in the process. Have a lovely weekend, Nicole.

Short jaw guy reminds me of an actor whose name I can't remember lol and beady eye guy looks a little scary. Thanks for choosing me as featured artist this week Nicole, that's so kind. I have just linked up my post, end of the month is exhausting so I am behind with everything.Elle xx

Your just for fun faces are excellent ... way beyond what I could do if I was trying to be serious. Talent, talent, Nicole. You are blessed with it. Love the pictures of your son and daughter with their spouses ... Nice looking group. Your painting is awesome ... how did you achieve the natty hair and how did you decide what colors to use to achieve the face. I seem to be stuck on the idea of actual coloring and as hard as I try that's where I end up. Think I need a guiding hand to push me over. I am looking for some free classes at the Senior Center but so far nothing :( Have a wonderfully relaxing week, Nicole ... you deserve it :)

The guy in the first drawing does have a very particular smile, it made me smile back. I really enjoy the progression of your other face. The same goes for the joy in the smiles of your children and their spouses--they look happy.

I hope you're have an excellent weekend.

Dear Nicole,
I particularly like your graphite drawing today - I also think that the guy is very handsome, at least I don't miss his jaw line ;-DD I don't think your "beady eyed guy" is bad either - I think it's difficult to always divide the facial proportions perfectly, but that gets better from time to time. You did a very good job!
Have fun with your family!
All the best in September, hugs!
