Hi Everyone!
Welcome to Friday Face Off, the place where you can show off any type of face in any medium you like. My face today is another male face in graphite. I am learning a lot about the male face. Same features as a female face but certain lines must fall differently.
I do like this young man's features. I get most of the faces I draw from google. Do you know how difficult it is to find a male face that I like without a beard or mustache? I really like a clean shave on a guy. I have been telling Mr. M. that for 43 years. ha ha ha.
Anyway, I do like this face even though he had a small mustache.
Terrible photos today. It has been overcast all day and not good light to photograph in. Sorry.
I haven't been feeling great and so I have not taken photos of more faces that are hanging in my house. But these are put away in my house. LOL
Beadwork I made by me early 2000s

I still wear this one.

One of my scull bead patterns.

My friend Donna Z beaded the pattern above, added a pirates hat.

Lift up the hat I have a CC holder. How brilliant is that? She gifted the piece to me.

Beautiful guy - for face-naked men.. try the Klitschko-Brothers!
Always well-shaved.
You really would love our bedroom, pirates and skulls ... Ingo loved that story in cinema, Pirates of the Caribbean.
I really, really like this male face, Nicole. I actually think the mustache goes well with the face. If it was any thicker, I believe it would overpower the face.
I am always in awe of your bead work and I love that skull. How sweet of that friend to bead the pattern and turn it into a gift card holder.
Bleubeard and I were quite surprised to be honored with the featured FFO this week. Bleubeard wanted to remind everyone that the image was from a very old magazine and was NOT a photo of me, as some people thought. I'm fairly sure I wasn't even born when that image was created. And I KNOW Bleubeard wasn't (grin).
Awesome man portrait, love your beadworks!
Enjoy a weekend xx
Hi Nicole! I don´t know why you think the photos are bad. When I photograph things that is not backlit I prefere overcast as it does not give much shadows and reflections. In nature I mostly prefere backlit, but that´s another story.
My favorite today is the necklace. Which is strange as I normally don´t like skulls. :) :)
Beautiful art! Have a great weekend, Valerie
Are you still not feeling well? I'm sorry to hear that. Take it easy. I hope it soon lifts.
That is a beautiful face! Did you do this one from the Internet too? Or is it a young man you know?
I love the beaded little CC case. It is exquisite. What a amazing gift!
I'm not lining my blog to yours as I don't have anything with a face specifically. (Only my own face, lol)
Have a lovely weekend,
Keep smiling,
Hugs,
Lisca
Your serious talent is on display again, Nicole. I hope you are starting to feel a little better.
Wonder faces Nicole. Gosh hope you feel better soon.
Those subtle differences in male and female faces are tricky, aren't they? I go to draw a male and I get a female, and vice versa. You definitely drew a male, and he looks great Nicole. Hope you feel better soon. hugs-Erika
I was planning to offer a photo of myself in my younger days for you to draw, then I realized that I had a mustache back then.
Yes, when will this craze for beards be over? It's lasted FOREVER, it seems like.
Your drawing is excellent, Nicole, and I also think it is well photographed - I like overcast days for taking photos. I'm with you on beards - I do like a clean shave as well. Years ago when we were camping in Alaska, mu husband grew a beard. It was quite nice for a while, but then I asked him whether he would consider shaving it off (I got tired of scratchy kisses!) and thankfully he did! - I'm sorry you're still not feeling well and I really hope that this will change to the better very soon.
I don't mind a little scruff every now and again, but... I, too, prefer clean shaven. There is something bright about the young man's features, in his eyes... that makes me forgive the mustache, lol!
Just read your comment, Nicole. Scott got me a Roku several months ago and I have it set up now, too. I don't have a cell phone, so I have no way to get the apps. I am just happu with Roku and Prime for now. After all, it's going to take awhile to get through 20 seasons of Midsomer Murders (grin).
Excellent portrait, Nicole and luv the other versions of faces.
Thank you for linking to Art For Fun Friday.
much💖love
How nice to see the pirate again. My last constructed pattern for beadwork (before we moved) was for a see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil, large size, wall hanging. But it was skulls instead of the usual monkeys. Life has gotten in our way, my beads are organized at last, but no place to work on that big project yet. Sigh. Donna
Hope you feel wonderful soon!
Amazing face! Still impressed by your beadwork too.
Nice drawing. Hope you're feeling better soon.
Boa tarde Nicole. Desejo um bom final de semana com muita paz e saúde. Desenho maravilhoso.
That’s a nice composition. The man would be pleased with your rendition.
Really well done!
I like your drawings. The portraits are fantastic!
Have a good week, dear blogfriend.
Great job!
Your sketch work is fantastic
