Wednesday

 Greetings!

Next month I have my appt. to see Mr. M's doctor so I can get an injection in my low back. Uhhhgggg.... I guess if it helps I can handle it.
Yes... I have been taking it easy.
I planted some black beans and yellow squash yesterday, watered the garden then came in and made enchiladas.
I also painted a bit.

This painting has a lot of texture.
These are Verde enchiladas with beans and veggies. However, Mr. M. got meat in his.

Well that's it for now. I am off to the garden before the wind comes up.
Have a very nice day today everyone!

Food, gardening and painting! A wonderful trio. All beautiful for sure.

I think that dish with beans and veggies is a well balanced meal (carbs and proteins). Love the nuances of colors of the first painting.
I hope you feel better soon, Nicole.

Hi Nicole, I love the texture in your painting. I go through phases with texture on mine. The enchilada looks good, too. I wish relief for you with the injection. My friend has just gone through injections a couple of weeks ago and has had some relief until she overdoes it like the way you kinda sound like your doing. Gotta watch gardening too hard. She has an appointment to get the nerves cauterized Monday, is this the direction you're going in as well?

Your painting is plain wonderful!!! I never made enchiladas ... it looks very yummy.
Not good you have to wait so long till you can get help with your back. Hope you manage without too much pain and have a great day otherwise. Here cloudy and cold again, bu-huu, Spring took a holiday.

Nicole,

I hope the injections help with the back pain. One of my good bloggy pals gets a short for her back every few months. She says it makes things bearable. I can't recall what caused her back woes but she's had some surgeries in the past. Back pain is horrible. Best of luck to ya! ;)

Your painting is lovely. I really love the colors. When I look at it, it makes me think of lavender plants for some reason. Yum, your enchiladas look good. Are they wrapped in a tortilla or is it more of casserole? Recently, I borrowed the Chille Rellenos Bake recipe from a blogger and made it. It turned out quite yummy, definitely a repeater. I may look up a recipe for yours to see if it's easy enough for me. Take it easy and be well, darlin'!

Your day was chock full from my perspective. Taking it easy would not happen for me if I stayed that active. Be good to yourself! The painting is awesome!

Enchiladas sounds like a good idea. I haven't had any in ages! I'll eat them with or without meat, but I favor the black beans :) I hope your doctor trip goes well.

I like your version of "taking it easy". I can't imagine that gardening is a help to your back. I'm sure glad you are getting an injection ... they tell me it makes a big difference. Your painting is lovely and Verde enchiladas ... a favorite of mine. Now you have made me hungry :( I will have to go out to water my garden to keep my mind off of food ... Sorry you have to wait until next month. Hope you are feeling okay in the meantime :) Be safe, Nicole ...
