Movie Monday

Greetings!

I hope all of you had a good weekend. It was stormy here, oh it still is. LOL
A good movie is perfect during storms and this weekend Mr. M. and I watched a new movie on Netflix called "Stowaway" before you rush to turn on your TV or device to watch this, DON'T! It is the a thumbs down in our opinion. This movie has a cast of 4 with big names, Toni Collette, Anna Kendrick, Shamier Anderson and Daniel Dae Kim. I was surprise that Anna Kendrick was in this movie. She is more of a comedy actress, but I thought let's see what shes got.
The movie lacked emotion and realistic features. Here is one small detail, when two of the cast had to go outside to collect oxygen there was gravity and they had to use mountain climbing equipment to get to the other side of this weird ship. I won't go any further. Here is a trailer, and if you do watch the movie have a blanket and pillow for when you fall to sleep. LOL

Now if you would like to watch a better but not 100% movie try  George Clooney's " Midnight Sky" A better story, better space involvement and better entertainment.
The earth is destroyed by us with what we are dong to it right now. People are evacuated to underground shelters. One man, who is sick, stays behind. He is the foremost scientist on saving the world and finding a new one.
This movie was directed by Clooney and cost 100 million to make. This movie was based on the book, "Good Morning, Midnight", by Lily Brooks Dalton. Maybe the book is better.

That's it for today. If you do watch either or both of these let me know what you think.

Garden Saturday

 Greetings!

My nice days are over for the next week. Rain, wind, and more rain and wind. I have my garden secured safely under cover.
However, yesterday I got photos.

 Peas are tall and thick

And we have peas, at least the starts

A little corner of the deck.

 The carrots are doing fine

Onions in the GH do much better than outside. Last year I couldn't get them to grow very well.

 Tomato seedlings

 A bowl of celery

Mustard is a fun plant to grow and oh so good

The Chamomile has doubled in size.

And the lettuce just keep growing.

The Chocolate Mint is amazing.

The poly is on and there are beans and peas growing well. This really is straight it's just that front hoop that went in at an angel. It is sturdy.

That's it for my garden today. This week I will be repotting seedlings, rain and wind be damned. LOL

Paint Party Friday 4/22

 Greetings!

Happy Paint Party Friday! I know there are a few of you out there having birthdays, so happy birthday to you.
All of you know I am a bit of a weirdo. I like strange and beautiful things and strange and not so beautiful things. This painting is somewhere in between LOL
This started off to be something quite different and then I ended up with a head on a holder. Don't ask, it's just what happened with me, a brush and some paint.
Be sure to stop by PPF to see what all the other artists have created this week.

T Stands for

 Greeting!

Today is T for Tuesday over at Elizabeth's so be sure to go visit her and to see the rest of the T gang.
Art has been on the back burner the last few weeks but I am caught up on things and I am now an going to get caught up on art things.
I started this last night and It will be a card for someone.

There are 2 new series on HBO. One is the "Nevers" a fantasy mystery that I am so enjoying. The second is "Mare of Easttown" staring Kate Winslet. So far so darn good. Check them out if you have HBO.

The other day, just one day, the temps got to 70° F I had been working in the garden and year all day and when I came in all I could think of was this.

Now I am not a cook-out-of-the box kind of girl. However, Mr. M. wanted some of those biscuits out of the can. Ya know like Pillsbury, only I bought the less expensive off brand.  I figured I needed to find some sort of meal to make with them. OMG!!!! there must me hundreds of recipes to use these biscuits with. I had no idea. So I made these. The meat filling is shallots, garlic, ground beef, beans, Rotel, olives and a host of spices. Roll out the dough fill it and bake. Mr. M. ate 3 of them.

Oh and they were filled and topped with Mozzarella cheese

Well that is it for now.
Wishing all of you a happy day.

Movie Monday

Greetings!

I can't believe it's Monday again already. I have caught up on blogging comments, have my house cleaned, the garden is doing great, and I made a Polenta desert for Mr. M. Now I like my Plenta savory. Mr. M. likes just about anything sweet.
Here is the recipe. Lidia is an Italian lady who makes the best food and has a TV show on Saturdays.
I spoke to one of my nephews today and with all of that I watched movies to share with you.
I was in a macabre sort of mood. Hee hee hee
This first movie is, "The Tall Man" Not really scary but a lot of twist and turns and a great ending.
The Tall Man is a 2012 Canadian and French mystery-horror film written and directed by Pascal Laugier. It was filmed in the Kootenay region of Southeastern British Columbia[5] and stars Jessica Biel. The film is set in a small former mining town where poverty is rife and children are disappearing on a regular basis. The abductions are blamed on a local legend called "the Tall Man." Jessica Biel plays a widowed nurse whose child is abducted, leading her on a desperate chase to recover him.
I watched this on Prime, it is free on
Tubi and $2.99 on Vudu and Youtube.

The next movie is some what scary but the story behind the scare is loving and emotional and full of human struggle.
You don't quite know what it's about until the end.
It's called, "This House" and I watched it on Netflix.
It's a movie I will watch again. There is a bit of flashbacks and dreams and I missed a few things.
The ending, is the will to live and persevere.

I chose this trailer because of the narrator's explanation and the shots of the movie. I hope you can take time to watch this one. Highly recommend.

Have a great day today.

Garden Saturday

 Greetings!

I am still trying to catch up on comments so today is the day. I will get to you I promise!
Today is Garden Saturday. I am very happy with how my garden is growing. This week I already  harvested big, beautiful white radishes and 2 kinds of lettuce.

Herbs from last year coming back to life.

Beans coming up. I thought I love then in the freeze.

 Potatoes doing just fine.

I have several types of potatoes

 5 buckets total.

Yesterday I set up a place that gets shade for some plants that require, or at least do better with shade. It's all a learning curve for me. If you are growing food or flowers post a comment with  your link. I would love to see what you are growing.
Have a great day everyone!
