T Stands for Art Room Door

 Hi Everyone!

I hope all of you are well and being as safe as you can. Yesterday I had to go out in the afternoon. OMG!!!! My town is STILL full of tourists and a lot of people just think Covid is over orrrr something. When I returned home I threw away the gloves and mask and sterilized my face shield. Then got into a hot shower and washed the outside off of me. I know, you may think I take it too far but I CANNOT get sick.

Before I get started on this post I would very much like to know if any of you are going to watch the US presidential debate tonight? I am going to start but if it gets nasty, I will shut it off.
I am watching a very good series on Prime called "Utopia" and I will turn that on instead.

Come by to see what the T-gang are up too.
Even though I am not supposed to drink coffee it just sounded good
this morning. I like it black and very hot.

I received a comment about my cabochons being seasonal. I had to laugh because for me, the scary, the haunting, the macabre is year round. It has been this way since I was a kid. My dad and I use to stay up late and watch scary movies. Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff and Lon Chaney were the best scary actors. This has carried on through my entire life.
Here is the entrance to my art room.
Note the outside of my house is a bit Victorian.
However, the inside is very modern with high ceiling, sharp lines, corners and alcoves.
When people use to visit the first thing they would say is, "Your house is like an art gallery."
I suppose it is but I love it.

The last 4 photos are random skull art. The top 2 are wreaths
and the last two are pyrography art on leather.

What has stayed with you from childhood?
Have a wonderful Tuesday.

Take as many precautions as you consider necessary! You never need to apologize for protecting your health.

I think Utopia might be the better choice! Valerie

A face shield sounds like a good idea. Can you recommend a source? I'll follow comments here if you want to just reply to this comment. I've tried safety glasses, but they don't fit well enough to be comfortable.

I'm a politics junkie lol and that's what I use FB for (well that and patio photos and movies I watch and ...). I may not watch it having heard that Chris Wallace is moderating, there'll be no real-time fact-checking, and one of the topics will be race and violence in our cities. Honestly, I like in Memphis, and I get tired of the fear-mongering about cities :(

I'll check out Utopia. I'm always on the look-out for new-to-me things to watch. I take my coffee hot and black, too, but I have a cup every morning.

I agree about your cabs. Halloween spirit isn't a day or a month or even a season but a state of mind. That said, we do a lot more candy during October than any other time ;) Happy T Tuesday!

Well, I agree with both Valerie's and Debra's comments! And yes, I noticed how much you like the scary, the macabre and you share it so well through your art projects.
Our home is very Victorian inside because it's a style we both love. And we have more of a photo gallery than an art one. Our place is filled with vintage framed photos of things and people we love. Stay safe, and a happy T day!

I have gotten some remarks from people who think the virus is a hoax or not as bad as the news makes it out to be. I think it's bad-so I stock up on stuff incase we're ordered to stay home again, and I always wear a mask in public places and use hand sanitizer A LOT. From what I've read about this virus it is not very pretty-now they're saying people that are asymptomatic can have heart problems. This is a tricky virus that we don't know much about yet. You are smart to be very cautious.
I used to watch "Monster Movie Matinee" with my step-dad every Saturday afternoon. I loved it! So did he! The old scary movies are fantastic. I don't care much for the new ones. Have a wonderful week!

Yes, I will watch the debate!! I also have a good series going, but can pick that up anytime. Yes, Debra, is right. Be vigilant!

So sorry, didn’t mean for my comment to be so short. Yes, not only will I watch the debate, but meant to add I’m looking forward to it. We must educate ourselves to inform our conscience. Also, since childhood, I’ve enjoyed safe scary stuff, and it sometimes comes out in my art. But only the “not possible and unreal” scary stuff. Scary things that really could happen are not for me at all.

Keep safe! I know what you mean, it does seem like people have forgotten about Covid altogether which is very frustrating! Your house is looking wonderful, I love all the art you have on display - perfect 😀. Take care and wishing you a very happy T Day! Hugs, Jo x

Covid numbers are on the uptick in MA. We’ve pretty much stayed close to home. Grocery shopping is as exciting as we get with occasional takeout. I’m watching the debate. If it just turns into name calling and mudslinging I change to something else. I might tune out in the middle as Himself is the as much of a news junkie as I am . Halloween is my favorite holiday. 👻 Take care and Happy T Day

We have tourists in my area too and many of them seem to not wear masks. We're a low covid area but these people come and no mask...everyone should know what that means. I am going to watch the debate but I know it is not going to make me change my mind, and I expect at least one participant is going to get nasty because he can't control himself. Probably about his taxes. Hope you had a great T day, and nice seeing your art collection.

Artist's houses tend to be like art galleries I would say. I can't watch Trump for too long.

I hope you update your comments about the debate -- did you watch a little or a lot?

It must be frustrating to be among people who aren't being careful to distance and wear masks. In my neighborhood even masked people veer off the sidewalk or cross the street to avoid walking/running too close to one another!

I'm late visiting tonight because I DID watch the debates, or at least part of them. I was SO mad (and I hope I don't offend you) because Trump acted like an abuser. He abused the moderator, he tried to abuse Biden and did at least once when Biden was talking about his son Beau, and he tried to abuse the audience. I had to turn the channel several times because I simply couldn't watch the insensitive and combative way Trump was acting.

You and I are similar in that we don't want to get sick. I have goggles I wear if I have to go someplace, gloves, and a mask, but no face shield. I always wear disposable gloves and mask ANY TIME I'm outside. I use Lysol spray once a week on my mailbox and I quarantine my mail for three days, even after I've sprayed it with Lysol. People laugh at me, but I don't care. I'm going to be safe and NOT sick due to the virus because it scares the bejesus out of me.

I love your studio. It is gorgeous. I adore the crows. The skulls remind me of Day of the Dead images. They are beautiful. I've not tried using a burn tool on leather, but you have done a fantastic job of burning the leather. I HAVE colored some, though.

Your coffee looks great sitting on your counter. I'm thrilled you actually decided to drink a cup in honor of National Coffee Day. Thanks for sharing your incredible art, your studio, and your coffee with us for T this Tuesday, dear.

I don't think you're overreacting to the risk of COVID. I have risks factors and also am shocked at how nonchalant and inconsiderate many people are. If they want to take the risk, that's on them - as long as they stay far away from me!

I bet you switched to Utopia last night. The debate was a disgrace.

Thank you for the peek inside your lovely art gallery home.

Happy T-day! Stay safe and stay well. Hugs, Eileen

Well, some sure could say you're overreacting but I don't. And since you say "you can't get sick", then that's that. Gotta do whatcha gotta do, girl. You're safe. 👍🏻

Haven't heard of Utopia 'til now, thanks to you. Just watched the trailer and, it looks great! Something like our current situation, in a way. 😏 Anyways, I don't have the time to watch all the movies & TV shows I'm even planning to. Ratched, for example, is still waiting for me. And it's been 2 weeks since it became available, lol! 🙄

Also... Creepy but lovely art, Nicole! 🖤 Your childhood sounds interesting.
