Monday Garden

Hi Everyone!

Good Monday Morning. Yesterday I thought I would have a quiet day in the art room. If you read yesterday's post you know I was up at 3 AM. When the sun was up I went out to uncover the tomato plants and check the garden. The next thing I knew 4 hour had passed. I love being busy outside. What can one do in a small garden for 4 hours. Hee hee hee. It is endless for me. One thing I thought I should check on one of my potato plants. I was going to dig down a bit to feel for taters. OMG! I didn't have to. A big purple potato was poking up out of the dirt. I was so happy. Since I am not supposed to lift anything I got a large tarp and just tipped the container over. WOW! big purple potatoes. With some yellow ones too!

There is almost 10lb of taters.

One day from my small garden.

These fingerling carrots are the 3 batch this year

Still getting cucks and squash.

My herb jars are just about full.

Let's not forget the flowers.

I feel very blessed that from my small garden I have all of this food.
Plus the beauty of the flowers too.
Last but certainly not least. Mr. M. built a garden screen for me. I was going to make this myself, however, Mr. M. had some wood left over from the shelf he made me and so he used it up on this. Ohh the corners are dove tailed too. That I would not have done.
This is perfect for cleaning dirt that will go into a bin for next year.

Have a wonderful Monday.

What an amazing harvest from your little garden! Everything is beautiful! I want to grow my own food so badly but I never have any luck.

You are the Garden Queen, Nicole, I can’t imagine anything keeping me up four hours in the middle of the night.
Being busy outdoors hasn’t been possible here During this hot summer, so on second thought, if I loved gardening I think it would have to be middle of the night. Lol. Beautiful and exciting harvest!

What bounty you discovered Nicole, those taters where just waiting for you to come get them.. So rewarding, reminds me of my childhood days with my Grandad and his garden full of everything. Now to decide what you will use them for!! Hugs Tracey xx
P.S I could have done with one of those screens in search of rusty nails a couple of weeks back, great make Mr. M :))
