PAINT PARTY FRIDAY JAN 27

Hi Everyone!

I know this is very early, however, today is the day that we find out what we are going to do for health care. In August 9 doctors quit our Peace Health facility leaving over 6,000 people without health care. PH has not replaced these doctors. DH got a doctor in Eugene, 100 miles away and after 2 months we received a letter, last week, that as of tomorrow they are closing their doors.  Other medical facilities have closed as well due to large corporations coming in out of Seattle and well doing what ever the hell they want. We are scrambling, like the thousands of other people who were with this doctor to find another care provider. With everything else going on in the US, leave our medical alone!!! OK that is my rant for the day. If it wasn't for art I would be a total nut case. LOL  Here is what happened in the art room this week.
Thank you for reading my rant and for all of you who are praying for us. Blessing sent right back to you.
I am linking with Paint Party Friday and a big thanks to Eva and Kristen who host our party.
If you want to see some of the best art world wide click on the link and check out all the artists who participate.

I wish I had better light or a better camera.

I like her and she has better shading than shown her.

It is such a sad statement to hear about your healthcare dilemma. I pray you find a new doctor not so far away real soon. You really have a way with bringing out a variety of emotions in your faces Nicole. Marvelous work!

Unreal news about your healthcare, so sorry. Your portraits are beautiful as is your leather work. Of course I love Swarovski.

Healthcare is a serious issue that should NOT be played around with. I do hope that you and others find a doctor who is near enough to be there for you and others.
Your artwork and sculptures are fantastic Nicole...loving them all. That ugly crone is beautiful :)

Big Hugs
Jan

I am afraid we are in for a long hard pull ... beyond healthcare. But, that said, there is nothing more important (urgent) than having a reliable doctor on the other end of the line when you need to call for help. Prayers and action are called for. I hope you find a way. As for your art ... always lovely. Thankfully we have our art to turn to to sooth our frayed nerves. Be strong, Nicole ...

Your sketches are great, and that sculpted skull with the flowers is so cute. I don't really understand. Do you mean that there's no doctor in your town or any of the neighbouring towns? How is that even possible? What do you do when you get sick? I know that access to affordable healthcare is not good in the US, but I had no idea it was this bad. I'm still hoping I'm misunderstanding it.... Geez, I really hope you find a solution fast. Hugs xxx

Wonderful portraits, Nicole! I'm so sorry you are facing such upheaval with medical care. It's so important to feel in good hands and also secure when it comes to our health and medical care. I hope it gets sorted soon for you and your husband.

love both drawn and sculpted faces.

But what the h-l is happening with our healt care. And not even because of Trump it seems. Not a good thing. :( But we see it coming in Sweden as well. Too expensive to care for people.

That one face reminds me of one narcissist who is in power right now. He's dangerous for the whole world peace. Aren't those who voted him scared at all or don't they understand what's going on....
But. I hope you have a good week ahead!

Art really does save. So glad you are getting solace. Your portraits are wonderful, especially your leather ones.
Thank you for visiting and for your prayers. I will in turn pray for you - that you get your needed health care.

That sounds terrible! I hope you'll find a good place soon! There are too many cuts in the health sector everywhere, it is scary, and definitely not the right place to cut costs.
But I'm glad that art is helping you, your drawings are great, and what a wonderful scull! You would love the Christmas market here, it has a huge Christmas tree with 7000 Swarovski pieces!
