A GREAT PLACE TO EAT IN EUGENE OREGON

Hi Everyone!

A few weeks ago Mike and I had to go to town. Ya know Eugene, Oregon because Florence simply sucks for shopping. Anyway we don't usually eat out when we go to town but this day we decided to try a place in the River Valley Mall. It is upstairs away from the food court. The place is open with a very nice atmosphere. It is so open that you can watch the cooks preparing the food. Mike turned to me and said, " I just watched the cook make my burger patty" I could hear it sizzling on the grill, I said, "Yes I can hear it." Mike says, "No I watched her form the patty it is not a premade frozen piece of meat" When our food arrived it was beautifully prepared. The we learned that all the meats and produce are organic, grass fed and grown in Oregon. All the breads and  pies are made from scratch including the burger buns. I had a veggie sandwich that was perfect. You would think that with everything so fresh and hand made the prices would be sky high. NOT AT ALL in fact less expensive that other places. I was so pleased with the experience I asked for some business cards to pass out. If you live in or are going to Eugene, Oregon stop in at the Valley River Mall and head upstairs to the Terrace Cafe. You will be so glad you did.

I doubt I'll ever get to Eugene, but I know what you mean about loving a restaurant that prepares fresh food. We have a locally owned restaurant that I love. My fav dish is Farmer's Chicken which is a chicken breast pounded thin, slightly sauteed and served with gravy made from the pan drippings and real cream. You don't get that from frozen chicken breast. Oh, I have my mouth watering already!!
Happy Thanksgiving.

Thanks for posting this, I've read it to Guy who is always looking for a good place to eat when he gets over there, and he called his best pal who lives off River Road to tell him too. Sounds like a great place and a good person to support. Donna
