PAINT PARTY FRIDAY LUPUS AND THANKS

Hi Everyone!

Now that is a heck of a title. I am up for a bit while Mike puts the AC in the bedroom window.  Wowowowo Flornece, Oregon hit an astouding 91 degrees yesterday! My kind of weather and I was out of commision. eerrggg.... That hot weather is not good for lupus or ms or other autoimmune dis-eases but we get that so seldom here it would have been nice to enjoy it.
So lupus is really kicking my butt this time around. Still not able to use my right arm. Went in to to do some blood work this morning and since my doctor is off on Thursday and Friday I will go in to see him on Monday. If things get too bad I can always go to the ER. I am pretty tough when it comes to this lupus crap and I will deal with it. I don't want some ER doctor trying to upset the rythum that my doc and I have. Hey I think an ice cold blended Margarita with a splash of mango would fix me right up. LOL No I don't normally drink but that sounds so good. "giggle"

Again I want to thank everyone for all the wonderful comments and emails. Just makes everything feel like it is going to be OK.

I am posting early for Paint Party Friday. The weekly gathering for artists to show what they are creating. There are some truly wonderful artists in several venues, so stop by PPF and see who is doing what. Thanks to Eva and Kristen for hosting Paint Party Friday.

The first two are 8 minute warm ups from last week.
All three are acrylics on canvas

Playing around and having fun

This is another practice piece, just trying to find movement

Hope you feel better soon, Nicole. Your warmup paintings make great backgrounds and look like some of the designer papers I have seen in the stores. I love the water and sky painting. It has a lot of action.

Lovely paintings, I like the first one best with the second a close second, but I like the third one too.

Lovely work, Nicole. I hope that working on them helped you through your flare-up. The heat works on my transverse myelitis -- which is why I moved from Memphis to Portland. Art raises us up above our symptoms -- glad you found the strength to work on these and share :)

The third painting is my favorite - the others are lovely but I love that ocean and all the movement. Hope you get to kick some lupus butt back - I will keep you in my prayers.

What odd weather we have. I guess it was suppose to rain today or so they said but it was 70's here in Portland Oregon. I love our bi-polar weather. haha

Great paintings, awesome colors you are very talented. Thoughts and prayers for your lupus. Tough!

Happy PPF!

I hope by now the Lupus episode is over and you're feeling fine again. I know that lupus comes and goes so one never know just when or where it will strike.

You could have fooled me with your practice paintings, they look professional and very sellable to me. They all look spectacular. Wonderful movement and outstanding colors.

Sorry I have been so low in getting around. Darn Lupus! Go back in your hiding spot and leave my friend alone! Not making light...just my small attempt to make you smile. I know you are a fighter. Your practice pieces look great--the last one really has a lot of movement!
