PAINT PARTY FRIDAY

Hi Everyone!
If you follow me at all you know that create "car art" it is simple drawings that I do while driving from point A to point B. Some of you have asked how I do this with all the holes, bumps, and well just plain terrible roads. Sometimes it is not so easy. I draw holding the tablet of paper up. I don't lay it on my lap. I draw between chuck holes and if we are in the city I love red lights. LOL Mike will warn me if he sees a big dip or curve in the road. It's actually fun and a challenge. There is a lot of erasing.  So on my birthday trip to my mom's last week this is what I got done. I have a connection to this face. I have others that are similar. Hope you enjoy
A big thank you to Eva and Kristen for there continual hard work to keep Paint Party Friday on the cyber waves. Be sure to stop by to see all of the very talented artists.

Ohhh and my scanner went out so this is a terrible shot from my camera

OK so I decided to show a few more "car art" pieces
These are older and scanned. They show up so much better that way.

Be inspired and create from your heart

I love the idea of 'car art'! Your sketches are great and quite alien looking. You must have a very steady hand!

Such emotions these evoke! I draw and paint in the car on road trips too! Fun!

it does amaze me that you can do this and I don't know that I will try it any time soon as our roads don't come without holes and hollows... I will; simply enjoy yours instead...xx

The last two are very interesting. I couldn't draw in the car while it is going because I get car sick.

Wow! I love your faces. I get so frustrated drawing in the car that I have totally given up on it, but this has inspired me to try again!

Your car art is incredible. I would love to know the story behind this face. How nice of your husband to warn you of bumps and potholes.

Love the expressions you have created here. The second one in particular is amazing.

I really like these Nicole. They do remind me of aliens from another world. Awesome. You should do more and how great that you do them in your car as your husband drives. Thanks. Have a great weekend.

lovely pieces, sometimes taking a photo produces better copies than the scanner.

I think being in car and dealing with the added elements of potholes and movement add to these. They are very expressive and some look haunted. Thanks for sharing. I love pencil work!

These are haunting- did you mean them to be -or did they just end up like this? Happy PPF.

What a great way to keep busy during car trips. I get horribly sick if I even look at a piece of paper in the car. No drawing, reading or even using my phone in the car. Blech. I'm jealous! These are fun faces!

I love these faces - they are a little real and a little surreal! Amazing that you were able to do these while riding in the car. I am trying to make the most of my time to draw. I will have to try the car - I agree that these faces remind me of the scream from Munch. And they have an alien look to them. They are really terrific. HPPF
