GOOGLE + COMMENTS SUCK

Hi Everyone!

How frustrated are you with Google?  I received a notice from them telling me about Google1 + commenting on my blog. That sounds great. I add Google1 + commenting...... and what a mess. First the comments don't show up as a count. Second unless I am just stupid there is no way to monitor the comments and third I have received many emails saying they couldn't comment because of the Google 1+ change I made. So I go in and change it back. uuuuurrrrgggggg I lost all my comments.
I understand Google wanting everyone to be connected to Google. However, NOT everyone is. For some reason I thought the Internet was a freedom of use. With Google, Yahoo, and IE wanting us to sign up and sign in it is really limiting what we can do on the internet.
Oookaaayyy that is my gripe for the day.

In my opinion

Sucks

Saludos!!!

I totally agree about so many companies trying to limit our internet freedom. I hate the whole "sign in using Facebook, Twitter, etc." for a website that has (in my mind) nothing to do with the others. I refuse to do it. Plus, I refuse to sign up for Google+ or Facebook because I don't want to make it any easier for them to log my info into databases than it already is!

I haven't gotten the message that Google+ wants me to change over. But as much as technology can help connect us around the world and make our business global, I'm slow to change things when they are working. So I'll learn from you dear friend and leave well enough alone. Happy Friday!

I agree with you! GooglePlus is still very confusing to me. I purposely did Not link my blog to it. I received the notice about the comments and deleted it, because I thought it might be confusing, now I know I was right to do so. I am afraid though, that sometime down the line, they will make all of us who have blogspot blogs convert to GooglePlus. Seems to be happening everywhere, Pinterest forced me to change over to Business account. Seems like they are all a bunch of bullies!

Get this..Facebook suggested I add a number of different people as 'friends.' I did that..then I got a notice saying that I don't even know some of the friends I've been adding and I am being restricted/disallowed- in other words punished and not allowed to add any more friends for 2 months! What???????????????? Yes, I know what you mean Nicole.

Google is working their way to have us ALL switch over so they are making it harder to use Blogger, like not being able to load pix, or missing the list of friends and many other things that I've noticed. They want us to switch to a different ip and so much more, but I want things just the way the were. I definitely agree with you. You know something though? They will win out somehow and we will probably have to find some place else to blog. :(

I totally dislike the thing. I made the mistake of opening a G+ and when i wanted to delete it, it told me ALL my related products would be deleted as well (blog, YT, friend connect, and bunch of other sites! SO I have it, all closed up and unused. I also can't really pay a visit to people that post in my blog and have a G+ Profile, because of the circles! This is actually the first time I can, just because you have the public posts (maybe?) And that's the main reason I hate it, because it won't let you get out.

Always take time for changes to work out and us to process them ~ I am 'sitting tight' for now and your post helped to stay with that thought ` ~ Sending lots of healing hugs ^_^

Thanks for the warning! I didn't receive that message from google, but I had already decided to stay away as far as possible from Google+. Mostly because of the reason Ayala Art mentions above: difficulty to visit people with a Google+ account that comment on my blog. I'm getting kinda worried though that now they're sending out emails to everyone to switch over. Wonder how long it'll take before everyone HAS to ....
