Hi Everyone!
This has been a very long day. I had an 8:30 AM meeting that lasted a few hours. Rushed home picked up Mike and off to the big city. Ohh you know Eugene, OR. It is an all day ordeal there. We had fun though and the over there was beautiful sunny and warm. I have lots to do tonight and so I thought I would get my Paint Party Friday post up early. I do have to watch Project Runway All Stars tonight...I ran across some more car art. I have been asked how I sketch while riding in the car. It is not always easy. Now, if I ride in the back seat I am car sick before we take off. LOL In the front passenger seat I am OK, I can't read in the car but drawing is a different focus for me. I always have a box with graphite new clean erasers a few paper towels and a sketch pad. With the first stroke it just comes to me. Can't explain it any other way. Hey the pictures are not always pretty but it is fun.
Thanks to Eva and Kristin for hosting Paint Party Friday. Stop by their blog to see all the great artists who join in the fun.

ReplyDeleteI do that too, as much as I can. Isn't it fun? And keeps you busy if you are driving in a boring place :o)
ReplyDeleteWonderful portraits. I cannot draw in the car, the motion just doesn't work for me, so the fact that you can, and can produce such art is awesome. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy PPF! Helen @ Natures Walk
beautiful portraits!! And I have to agree- amazing that you can draw these while riding in the car. I've never tried that, but we have a road trip coming up and I might just bring along my pencils... :-) Silke

ReplyDeletePretty faces! :) I cannot read nor draw in the car. I used to read comics all the time when I was a kid. But when I started driving things change. Can't even look down without getting nauseous. :)
ReplyDeleteOooh, I like the first one. It has some boldness of expression as if to say 'I'm here!'.
ReplyDeleteHappy PPF!

ReplyDeleteIn the car!!! amazing!!!
Just realized that I don't get sick any longer while riding in the back of a bus. Found out during a funny ride through the Austrian mountains, including tunnel passages, snow covered roads and incredible views of sunny skies and snow covered mountains.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing - the car art, Nicole. I do crossword puzzles in the car and art in front of the TV. I admire your talent. Great drawings.
