OWOH A SPECIAL WIN

Hi Everyone!

I am not sad or at least don't want to be sad today. However, it is the 2 month mark of my sister's passing and the 3 month mark of her husband's passing. It has been an odd and wonderful few months. Odd in that my best friend and sister is gone and wonderful due to Lisa and the OWOH event. If not for this amazing gathering of good hearted people I think... no.... I know that the last few months would have been different for me. Very sad and spent in bed crying. Thank you All. So when my family and I went to my sister's home to remove all of her belongings I TOLD everyone that I was packing my sister's room. In packing all of her jewelry that I had made for her and the art I had sent to her over the years, my mom asked what I was going to do with it all. I already knew.  I would make a wall design using all of the things my sister loved and adding things that created wonderful art. When Mary-Beth from My Journey into Art  contacted me that I had won a set of beautiful tags I knew they were going to be apart of my sisters art piece. These tags mean so much to me. Representing spiritual death and rebirth, with the butterflies. These tags will be doorways from this life to the next in the art. Thank you so much Mary-Beth you have eased my heart this day and have contributed to a very special piece of art.

Hi Nicole. I'm happy that you won something that will be so meaningful in the artpiece you are creating for your sister. Nicole I just want you to know that I am so sorry for your losses and the pain is great for you. Continue to do your art and put all your passion into that. The imprint of your soul will be there. Have a nice weekend. Take care.

It has been a strange few months, I feel like I am going to crack open or something.
Cleaning out the memories is the hardest part and to miss someone so much.
I love love love that you are going to make a wall piece out of all the treasures dedicated to your sister. That will be so wonderful to gaze upon when you think of her.
And the tags are perfect for it.
Huge virtual hugs Nicole!
I am with you on the event OWOH, if it hadn't been there, it would have been bed for me too.
I am so grateful for the new friends and the comfort extended to me in my time of need.
It has given me hope.
I extend you comfort and my hand in friendship.
Take care dear it has only been a short while. Give yourself time.
Blessings all over you!

I am so sorry for your loss - please accept my sympathies and empathy.

I know that it takes a while for the "edge" to be lost over a loved one's passing. The loss never leaves, but the hard edge of grief does lessen as time (and life) goes on.

My best wishes.

Nicole...I love that you are going to make a memory keepsake. It will keep her close to you. You have been in my thoughts and prayers during this time. We always remember and at times it hurts but in time those sad and hurt feelings become ones of fond memories that make us smile and remember the person...not the loss.

Hugs to you my friend,
Regi

Nicole, I couldn't think of a more perfect use for your beloved sister's belongings. She would want you to keep them out where you can smile at fond memories reflected upon...a celebration of her life :-) Be kind to yourself, my friend. You are always in my heart and my thoughts. B. -xo-

Oh Nicole, I am so very sorry for your losses. I am sure that your sister is smiling at your decision to make an art piece of her treasures as a celebration of her life and your relationship. I truly hope it helps you come to terms with your grief even if only a little. I am thrilled that you would want to include the tags I made in that piece and I would love to see a pic of it when you are done!

Hugs to you my 'friend'
Mary-Beth
