Hi Everyone!
Not 100% yet, lupus has attacked my shoulder. I'm not good with a sling. But, I'm resting the arm and doing PT exercises. This has happened to my shoulder several times so I do know what to do.
This isn't a lupus post but there are a lot of people with lupus that don't it. They, and their doctor's, think what ever is happening in the body is an isolated incident. When in reality, painful joints can be a sign of autoimmune. A story that came over my lupus group today was about a man with painful knees. He was told it was arthritis. His knees were drained. OMG! that sound awful. This was done several more times before he was finally diagnosed with lupus. I'm not saying that every ache and pain is an autoimmune, what I am saying if you have persistent pain, that doctors don't know what it is or keep trying the same procedures and it doesn't fix it. Demand, blood work for autoimmune. P.S. men get diagnosed faster than women.
What I wanted to show today was some pretty flowers that are finally taking hold in the garden.

Brussel Sprout.
So strange harvesting it this time of year.
All I can think is the roots would make great hair for an art piece. That's it for now. My arm needs to go back into the sling.
Have a great day.
Nicole

...be well soon.
Las fotos de las flores son preciosas. El Lupus es una dura enfermedad que cuesta su diagnóstico porque no hacen desde el principio las pruebas pertinentes y la confunden con otras enfermedades.
Un abrazo
Interesting info about the connection between painful joints and autoimmune.
Never heard of Brussel sprouts harvested in late July :-)
Take care, Nicole.
Lovely garden and flower photos! I hope your shoulder and arm feel better soon.
Hope you do get well. The garden you have is a gem
I hope your shoulder is better soon.
Your flowers and Brussel sprouts look great!
Rest that arm, my friend. *hugs*
Love all that yellow and orange. And those sprouts look fabulous. Hoping your shoulder pain eases soon.
Hmm, Brussels Sprouts and wonderful flowers. Oh, hope you are "better" soon, stay strong... well, I know you do, chapeau.
Another day with lupus makes the rest of us grateful that we don’t suffer from it.
Sorry to hear that your joints are acting up. I have bursitis in my right shoulder and when it acts up it is difficult to function normally. Thankfully my exercise routine seems to be keeping it under control.
Hope your shoulder is better soon. I had a hive/Urticaria resurgence this week, mild, but ugh. I'm blaming the weather. and those brussel sprouts look amazing! hugs-Erika

The morning glories are actually looking much like marigolds…..tee hee
I'm so sorry about your shoulder, what a pain (literally). I didn't know about the connection between joint pain and autoimmune. That's interesting. Your Brussels sprouts look fabulous - I still get them at the farmers market and we like to sautee them and eat them with gnocchi and brown butter. Could it be that your morning glory is marigold? I hope that your pain gets better!
I do hope your shoulder and arm feel better soon.
I enjoyed the garden and flower photographs you've shared today.
All the best Jan
