Welcome To Friday Face OFF (FFO)
This
is the place to show off your faces or your face. Post any type of face
from any medium. You can create it, or find it in nature, or even that
face in the design of the
woodwork in your house.
Human, animal, alien,
or monster.
ANY KIND OF FACE!
I'm a nut. The morning glories in my last post are actually Marigolds.
It started like this
Last week I mentioned how easy it is to change things up with graphite.
I
sketched in a female face. I started to "fix" features and for some reason changed it all up.
At this point some of the features are the same. Watch the eyes. I went off on a tangent with a shirt and penciled in where facial hair would go. facial hairFacial hair, mouth, teeth and a bit of shading.Lowered the eyebrows, changed the shape of the eyes and added more shading. After changing his nose adding some highlights and oh yeah hair, I'm pretty happy with him.
I know these kinda freak some people out but look at the art of it. It takes many frames of photos to come up with these. Noo I can not do this. LOL
It's now time for some features.
Geneveive is a long time friend of mine from Canada. I had not idea she was on Night Cafe. Her art is bright and colorful.
now it's time to show me your face.

Wow. I love the man. His hair is fabulous and so are his eyebrows. They draw attention to his eyes.
I couldn't find Mr. Linky. Here is mine:

PLEASE be aware, if you link me, it is not Elizabeth. It is Bleubeard and Elizabeth.
I don't know what is with blogger. I put Mr. Linky in. I preview it to make sure it's there and when the post uploads it's not there. urrrggggg.
Wow, amazing how you changed the drawing from a woman's face to a man. I really love the drawing of him and I loved to see the different stages in between. Wonderful work, thank you so much for sharing this, Nicole!
Your graphite remind me of when I studied. It was all about technical drawings, precise, with machines (back in the day, no computers!). Once a week we had... we call it Akt-Zeichnen, figure drawing. Fellow students stripped naked and took some "thing", a box or such and we had 60-90 seconds to freely pin them down in graphite. I wanted to keep that up after studying, but sadly not possible.
Official reason for this fun: In architecture you need to see and understand quick how much space a person really needs...
NOT to be compared with your wonderful, precise works!
Have a face-ey, fun Friday!
When I preview, I make sure the DATE is correct. If the date is wrong, it won't show on the preview, but won't post when you publish. That MIGHT be the problem. Thanks for linking us.
It's really impressive how it changes the sketch.
Hair is very important, how beautiful the person looked when you put it on!!
I'll try to take part in the challenge Nicole!
I hope I find time!!
Love how you drew the stubbles in the face
Nice graphite drawings again dear Nicole. Nice to see how you developed the painting.
Have a good time

That is an interesting change. When I saw the original start, my mind said female. Then I saw the finish (all without reading) I went “huh”. I always read your posts but sometimes I look at the pictures first.
Your guy turned out wonderful -- what marvelous hair in particular! I also really like his shirt collar and just the whole angle/tilt of his head as well.
You surprised me Nicole. I thought it was going to be a female face you were drawing. It ended up being a very handsome guy. What a great face! Have a super weekend ahead. hugs-Erika
...Nicole, I enjoyed seeing the progression of your drawing. I'll stick with my camera! Take care and be well.
Aquí dejo mi participación. Gracias y un abrazo.

Wonderful portrait Nicole. Thanks for featuring me this week.
That’s probably the easiest sex change in history!

another wonderful portrait ~ thanks ~ hugs,

Thanks, it has to do with the HTML. I write it in, save it and for some reason it disappears later.
Hi, Nicole! Wow, what a transformation of the initial sketch of a young face! My writing sometimes goes like this! 😂. The end result is a unique male face (But I'm not sure that I'd like to meet him in a dark alley ~ he looks like he's been hitting the bottle.). That photo is freaky, but I can appreciate the work behind it. I always enjoy your posts! Happy weekend!
I love watching you work. Thanks for the sequential photos. Hey, I can't find the linky button. Did I miss it?

Nice to see the progression.
Your drawing process is always fascinating. I love what you share.
Amazing work, Nicole. I like the final look too, very impressive.
You do such realistic faces. I just love your work! :)
