FFO 8/1

Welcome To Friday Face OFF (FFO)
This is the place to show off your face art.

I hope that everyone who had to evac for the tsunami are safe. We had a warning upgraded to advisory and then downgraded again. It is the 3rd tsunami  we have been through.

I had a conversation with one of our blogging friends about how features are chosen. I use the number generator. It is ease for me because I don't have to decide what amazing artist will be presented. However, in going through all of the FFO posts I notice that it isn't quite fair. So, I'm going to keep track and everyone will be featured the same.

For my face this week I have another guy.
He started like this.

Then this

Sorry about the photos. No light on one side.

I work all over the place on a face.

This guy has the creepiest hair

What is with these young guys who
don't comb their hair?

I still have some tweaking to do but here he is. Mr. M. says he has Tom Hardy lips.

Here are a few AI this week too.

Now for some features.
My dear friends and long time FFO.
This is an important post about PBS being defunded. Visit this blog to see some excellent art as well.

You did know that flowers have faces, right?
Cloudia, lives in Hawaii and I hope all is well for her with the tsunami.

Carola Bartz. This is her beautiful daughter flying through the air. How fun would this be. I would love to do this.

That's it for me,
now it's time to show me your face.

First, thank you for the feature!
Second, your guy looks awesome! For the life of me I can't draw guys. I can't even draw women properly...
Third, did you have to evacuate or did you stay put? You live so close to the Pacific. We had a tsunami advisory as well which honestly made me laugh - there are two "mountain" ranges between us and the ocean. Fat chance.

You're getting darn good at hair! And I agree -- the uncombed, unkempt look for both women and men drives me nuts too.

Nice portrait work and fun AI

I am very sorry I have to disagree with you, dear Nicole. That dude has the CUTEST hair!!! You made him like really sexy, one (me) wants to grab in there for a cuddle...
Your AIs look like I feel. Exhausted. Left in the dark (one monitor is black).
And: Great job... "job" (by heart) of whom you picked and why!
Happy FFO, dear host!

As you know, I'm not joining this week, but I wanted to stop by anyway. Imagine my surprise when I saw you linked my defunded post, something very important to me.

I love how you take us through each of the steps to create that awesome man. I have no idea who Tom Hardy is, but I like it, regardless. And I agree that unkempt hair is unbecoming.

I really like your last AI creation.

I forgot to mention, I worried when I heard about the tsunami hitting close to where you live. I am glad you didn't have to evacuate.

Dear Nicole,
Your drawing of that tousle-haired 😉 young man is absolutely brilliant – such an excellent portrait! 🎨Also very good AI-art. 👏
The news about the tsunami sounds truly frightening – the third warning already… 😟 I’m so relieved that you and your region were unharmed. From what I’ve heard, this particular tsunami fortunately passed without major damage. 🌊🙏

Sending warm greetings and wishing you a wonderful start to August! Hugs from Austria,
Traude

The tsunami turned out to be a nothing event on the west coast of North America and we can all be thankful for that. One of my wife’s sisters lives on Vancouver Island and I know that she was concerned.

Bravo ce dessin et ses différentes étapes est très réussi. Je suis heureux que la possibilité d'un éventuel tsunami se soit évanouie.

...fortunately for us a tsunami might never reach us. Nicole, stay and well.

I like seeing the various steps of your illustration. It helps so much to see how others achieve the end results. I'm still miles away to this point but am getting there, slowly. Yeah, I'm with you and the messy hair styles of young men today. The first time it really grabbed my attention was watching AGT with Shin Lim, a Chinese magician appeared. It looked like he'd just crawled out of bed. Actually, I've seen people with neater hair first thing in the morning than his. Shin Lim won that year. I hope he was able to buy a comb. lol Your drawing is fantastic!

I'm glad y'all are okay and the tsunami was no threat. Sky diving is one of the last things I want to do unless I'm on a plane (which is highly unlikely to happen) and it's going down, then I'll grab a parachute and jump. I probably will have a heart attack before I land on the ground, though. :) I'm such a scaredy Cathy!

Have a good weekend and thank you for hosting! xo

I could tell this week's face was guy right away. It's a super face Nicole. And I heard about the tsunami warning. Glad there wasn't any major damage, or at least I didn't hear about any. Hopefully all you had was the warning. Have a super weekend. hugs-Erika

I'm so glad you were safe from the tsunami but that has to be disconcerting. I love how beautifully you are creating your faces. Happy weekend.
