Friday Face OFF

Welcome To Friday Face OFF (FFO)

This is the place to show off your faces or your face. Post any type of face from any medium. You can create it, or find it in nature, or even that face in the design of the
woodwork in your house.
Human, animal, alien, or monster.
ANY KIND OF FACE!
Well, not right this minute. But I have made this statement more times than I can remember. I say it as a joke when lupus brain fog hits me in the middle of a sentence. Or my memory is so lost in my head when speaking to people that I know they are looking at me like I'm nuts. Lupus Brain Fog is a real symptom that affects 70 to 80% of people with lupus. This can change the way people treat you. You can lose your job and friends over it. If you know someone with lupus and they are having a lupus moment. Please, just give them a "moment" to regain their thought process. Trying to verbally help them, doesn't help.
Thank you for reading about lupus during lupus awareness month.
Now on to FFO.
I'm going right into the features.

That's it for me.
Now it's time to show me your face.

  2. Through you I have learned a lot about Lupus, Nicole. I don't know anyone with Lupus, but if I ever meet someone with it I will be more aware of it because of you. Thank you for posting about it and being so open and honest. Big hugs - Carola

  5. Your blog posts are nothing like the persona that you describe -- you are always coherent and very organized in what you say in posts. I would never guess at the description you give in person.

  8. You lost friends because of Lupus??? Then they never were real friends. I might´ve a slight problem with someone who has Tourette-Syndrome, but once understood would stay, it´s not on purpose! Alzheimer´s, Dimentia, the brain is some huge and sometimes scary thing and yet most of us manage!
I wish you many friends who understand!!

  11. I am sure the brain fog is frustrating. I see the frustration Mom has with her dementia memory loss.

  12. Thanks for sharing the lupus info. I didn't know much of what you've shared so far. I've been tasted for lupus a couple of times because I have chronic hives and they can be a sign of lupus, but the tests were negative so I'e just had to deal with the hives. Hope you've had a great start to May. hugs-Erika

  15. Lupus is such a burden, like so many long term issues that require constant coping to live with. Ironic that you live in sunny CA too.
Thank you for enlightening us, and holding the party so we all have a place to share art. Love, LeeAnna
