Lupus awareness month

 Hi Everyone!

I know that some of you share your body with lupus or know a family member or friend that does. May is lupus awareness month.
I don't know anyone with any type of autoimmune that isn't a fighter. We struggle everyday to be as normal as possible. To partake in life as much as we can. As I get older I find that I experience more symptoms of lupus than when I was younger. I'm told it is supposed to be the other way around, which doesn't make sense to me.
You know the saying, "Getting old is not for sissies." Add lupus to it and you better be a warrior.

I've met quite a few Lupus Warriors in the blogosphere and they are all FIERCE FIGHTERS! And you are their Queen, Nicole!

Yes, Lupus is bad, and has controlled my life for a long time. And getting old seems to make it worse. We can just keep going as best we can! Hugs, Valerie

Yes, it is necessary to be fighters but also to have empathy for those around us.
There is a lot out there that we need to be aware of.
I wish you good health and that your struggle is as painless as possible.

thanks for informative sharing dear Nichole

i don't know you from close dear friend but i can say you are a warrior and it is your will power and wisdom you keep fighting back and i hope and pray may it remain this way always !

no doctor mention us here with lupus or autoimmune words here . i now am sure most of the people are suffering with it ,some with self awareness realize that something is wrong and keep try to fight back in their own way . if anemia is caused by lupus i have had worst one since childhood .
i suffered with stomach ulcer that was two decade old and i knew nothing abut it only because no doctor took pain to mention it .
it makes me feel God exists and has plans .he made me find about it eventually by ne doctor whom i had visited for long but no word he spoke of it.
as you say we do what we can unless body gives up naturally and i die .death is not an issue but life is and it must be lived with movable body .
everybody has to fight his own battle ours is this so please keep fighting.
don't dwell on age you are not that old ,our thoughts make us so stick to positive ones please ! hugs and best wishes

Lupus is scary, as are all autoimmune diseases. You have to fight, don't you. I hope you don't have to fight too hard today though-grin.

Lupus is a terrible condition and seems to affect some far worse than others. You have my sympathy.

Lupus is a tough medical condition. My uncle's wife has it and she's not well frequently. My prayers are you with you, Nicole! Don't ever worry about visiting or commenting at my place. My blog is open 24/7 so there's never a rush, just come by when you feel like. I totally understand. I will share my FFO in my BOTB results post tomorrow. I'm scaling back in Blogosphere for the summer. Yeah, I know it's not here yet but Internet traffic is already beginning to slow down so I need to condition my brain to take a break. I haven't "really" had any down time like I intend. Maybe this time I will. :) Take care of yourself, dear friend! Hugs, love, and prayers to you and your daughter!

I think we all know someone with Lupus. I admire all warriors -- and this post was helpful in telling me more about this disease. Thank you -- and keep fighting.
