I tried to find the artists for these but all I could find was Artstation and then not the art or the artists. To me it apears to be at least 2 different artists creating surreal turtle art and I am sure there are more our there. I just found this art very interesting.

I just can't get enough of Naoto Hattori. The eyes look like beautiful cabachons I used to create with when I made beadart.

Creepy Cookie Girl is about my speed -- a little creepy, not super creepy.
...the turtles aren't demented, they are whimsical.

The turtles remind me of the DiscWorld books by Terry Pratt. DiscWorld was carried through space on the back of a giant turtle.
I don't know if you are a reader, but I think some of those books would appeal to your artistic sense.
Uh...brain slip...that author is Terry Pratchett.
