Friday Face OFF 2/15/24

Welcome To Friday Face OFF (FFO)

This is the place to show off your faces or your face. Post any type of face from any medium. You can create it, or find it in nature, or even that face in the design of woodwork in your house. Human, animal, alien, or monster. Any kind of face.

I can't believe this week has gone by so quickly. I had every intention of drawing a face that takes more than 5 minutes. Haaa.
So I started this piece this morning and will take my time finishing it up over the weekend.
This girl has a distinctive eye that is lower than the other. At first I was going to exaggerate it but then thought I would draw her the way she is. This face will be much different when I am done with it.

I found a great horse head to draw too. I think I can draw this one.
I wrote the above part of this post early this AM. I had to go to Eugene for a noon oral surgeon appt. OMG! the rain was non stop and pouring something wicked. The tree service has the road closed in 4 different places. They are cutting limbs and trees and then clean up from the ice storm. It took us 2 1/2 hours to go 65 miles. Uhhhgggg. It was the first time to see this dentist. Hmmmm hope I never have to back to him. However, he did extract the tooth.
So, to finish up the post and then go to bed.
Here are 4 AI faces.
They are so fake looking. I have to change my descriptions.

Try adding an art style to avoid getting the "too perfect/fake" look on your AI pics.

Hi Nicole, happy Friday and have a great weekend!

I'm glad you left the girl's face as it is. I will be curious to see what she looks like when you finish. And the horse too. I like drawing animals, not that I draw all that often, but I should. I had a frustrating drive like that last week. It's exhausting too. I hope you have a super Friday and weekend Nicole. hugs-Erika

I made it, Nicole! :) Thanks for inviting me to join. Your quick sketch is a ton better than anything I can spend hours on, so bravo to you for a job well done. Ooo, OUCH! Oral surgery is not fun! I have to have another root canal. Having dental work is not the way I like to spend my time. Have a doodletastic weekend, my dear!

Will be waiting to see the full face of the lady...and the horse, too.
A long trip and a tooth gone. Whew! Glad that is over with. :)

Tooth pulling is a terrible way to spend a day, and I’m so sorry you had to do it. I wish you luck finding a different and better surgeon for any future needs.

I really like your faces, drawn or photographed or AI done. You can do so many things with that media - but I personally prefer the real sight of things...
Have a good time and all the best

I got this far last night: I wondered why you hadn't published FFO last night. I was up till 5 a.m., and finally headed to bed.

Then I got sick and have just now gotten out of bed. I love the faces you drew and the horse. I agree the AI women don't look real. Sorry to be so late visiting.

I'm looking forward to seeing your finished face drawing, Nicole. I think an imperfect face is more compelling. I feel sorry for girls growing up who compare themselves with the perfection of AI generated faces. Your area of the country has really been slammed by wet weather. I'm glad that you made it back and forth from the dentist safely. I hope your mouth isn't causing too much pain today. Dental work is misery. Take care of yourself and relax, if you can! Hugs to you!
