T stands for

 Hi Everyone!

Today is Tuesday and I will be joining everyone over at Bleubeard and Elizabeth for the T-Party.
The sun is out, not too warm, but I will take sunshine any day. I try to keep busy no matter what. Since I got such a great deal on apples, I did invest in an apple peeler, corer and cutter. OMG! what a life saver.

This is a terrible video but you get the idea.

 Cores to the compost

 peelings to make ACV

 We like chunky applesauce

 I love this emulsifier

 Add Cane sugar

then cinnamon

and last a bit of lemon juice

Fill prepared canning jars and waterbath for 20 minutes.

 Can't get easier than that

Getting 1/2 gallon jars ready to make ACV

Apple pie. The photo look off but the pie is perfect

As you can see in this photo.

So we had Pie on Pie that night. This has Poblano, Jalapeno and red peppers. Mr. M. got some meat on his side and I got tomatoes from the garden.

I am beyond happy with these late harvest potatoes. I think I will do a late planting next year too.

The other half of pizza dough went to make a loaf of cinnamon bread. This looks terrible. LOL If you put the dough in the fridge over night it will rise. Punch it down and bake.

But tastes sooo darn good.

This Nasturtium is in a container and has just taken off. I'm going to make Nasturtium vinegar.

And Marigolds growing like it's summer. LOL

Last but not least. What do you think this is for and how will I actually use it? Well, I guess the photo tells you what it's for. LOL
My next art adventure. I will always make creatures but this is something different I have been wanting to try.

Now for something to drink to get into the party. It must seem rather boring that I'm showing water again. However, it is what I drink most during the day.

Have a fabulous day today!

  2. ...I make apple sauce and bought one of those peeler and I never worked well for me. I now peel them by hand.

  3. Everything looks so yummy! It took me an embarrassing length of time to figure out that ACV stands for Apple Cider Vinegar.

  5. So many apples! All the food looks delicious. We enjoy pizza here, and yours does look tasty. That cinnamon bread looks good to me. I should put it on my grocery list. I remember having nasturtiums but haven't had any in decades. Happy T Day!

  8. I love things made of apple -- these all look delicious. I'll bet that peeler really helps when you are cooking that often!

  9. I love my apple peeler; it looks just like yours. And all your food looks yummy, including your apple pie. I made one Saturday with a bit of my batch of pickings. It's so yummy to have fresh apple treats, isn't it? Happy T day and the upcoming week. hugs-Erika

  10. It´s only 05:27 a.m.m and I am soooo hungry, LOL.
That apple peeler is really great - I just did not understand what you do with the healthy peel?
We have so much cinnamon, Ingo uses it for his pumpkin, which I sadly don´t like.
I have "easy water" with a bit of dragon fruit right now.
    Happy T-Day!

  12. How lovely to have all those apples (mine did poorly this year). And a huge YES to the apple peeler and corer. It makes the job so much faster.

I curious that you don't use your cores for ACV along with the peels. Any particular reason?

All of the photos are fantastic. Your next art adventure looks like fun!

  13. Given my druthers, I prefer my apple just the way it comes from the tree, peel and all.

  14. That peeler looks terrific. I think the video is fine; it shows how it works and that was the point.
Now I am curious about how to make ACV

  15. My sister has that peeler and makes fabulous apple pies just like my mother made. The apple peeler for my mother was my father! He loved apple pie so would peel all the apples. Looks like you will be enjoying pies all winter.

  16. Thanks to Debra, I didn't have to ask what ACV was. I guess I'm the odd one out. I have never been fond of apples, even though I had a friend in MO who had an apple farm. Give me peaches, pears, cherries, and grapes and I am a happy camper.

Your cinnamon bread looks PERFECT. I would eat it any day. In fact, I have some I bought at the grocery store on Friday. Yours looks better than what I got, though.

You are making me hungry for pizza, too. And those are amazing potatoes.

I LOVE water with lemon and this looks like a great way to drink water. A half a lemon is perfect.

Thanks for sharing your amazing apple contraption, your cooked apples, your pie, your pizza and your lemon water with us for T this Tuesday, dear Nicole.

  17. I loved this post-I hope you can share how the vinegar turns out. Our apple tree made lots of apples this year so I froze applesauce but I may get back to canning next year. Your food looks scrumptious!

  18. That apple thing looks like a great helper when you have a lot of apples. This year I again got apples from my neighbor and I was peeling and coring them forever to make apple sauce. I just add a little bit of water and cinnamon, no sugar. Then I freeze it. Easy as pie. Your food looks so delicious! How do you make the ACV?
