Hi Everyone!
I started these onion end the first of June. |
Here they are today. |
Here are onions from my raised beds. Can't really tell but they are huge. |
A new batch of potatoes. I have harvested the 3 buckets and got over 100 potatoes.
|
Also with the cool weather I got some great heads of cabbage. As some of you know I can my greens.
|
Wash and dry the greens. Stuff into a clean and sterilized canning jar. Put on the lid and suck out all of the air. |
I did put a food grade absorber in 2 of the jars to see the difference in self life. These were made 3 weeks ago and still as fresh as can be in the fridge. |
I also did 2 jars of beet tops. |

That Voodoo Hat is AWESOME! It will be snapped up RIGHT AWAY, I'm sure!
Cool hat! Refreshing energy drink. - Christine cmlk79.blogspot.com
Well done on canning Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie your lovely veggies and greens, Yummy!
...I hear that they are good for you!
Voodoo arts are nice to browse. Voodoo in Southwest China mean arts of poisons and witchcraft. So many tales of horror stories from my childhood bedtime stories.
I've never heard of or seen that air-sucker-outer thingie! Now that is a great invention! Have a super week. :)
Your black-arts creations are fascinating!
Very, very cool hat (and yes, a bit too white).
Here nothing in bloom. I gave up. It´s 13C/55F... Great on your veggies! And the Monster-drinks. We have them here, too, but reckon they are rather sweet?
Either way: Happy T-Day and to a good week.
Fascinating voodoo art !
These hats are fantastic and great for a Halloween show. Beautiful onion bulbs and plants too. I like your canning efforts and good to know that those could last fresh for a few weeks. I am trying different ways to keep my vegetables in the fridge, but sometimes those fail too...
Thanks for the share.Happy T-Tuesday!
I am quite sure that you can more items than anyone I have ever known!
Will you be selling the hat or wearing it? I like the idea of staining the skulls on the hat.
Very cool hat! I especially like the hand on the side. Like it's the skeleton of the feather on the opposite side. Happy T Day
Wow, dear Nicole, your voodoo hat is really a SHOW!
Onions and potatoes also grow well in our garden, soon it will be potato harvest time! Unfortunately, my husband doesn't like cabbage, so we didn't grow any here - but I love your method of preservation!
All the best from Austria,
Hugs and happy T-Day!

Onions must love your climate as mine have never gotten even close to that size. And your hat looks like fun. Will you sell it or w ear it during your sale? Sometimes it’s fun to have some atmosphere yourself I would imagine. So you match your table that is. 👍. I hope you have a great t day Nicole. Hugs Erika
You are amazing with growing and preserving! I hope you have more energy my friend. Praying...
I am not into Halloween but decorating a hat is a great idea.
Your produce looks great. Thats awesome that you got over 100 potatoes. I would love to get that many during 1 growing season. You certainly have a green thumb.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
What a fun Voodoo hat. I was most impressed by the hand. I can see why you would want to stain the skulls.
Sorry your veggies aren't doing well, but you still have a bumper crop of potatoes and cabbage. Looks like you jave a few things to can this year.
I had Monster once and boy does it kick in as soon as you drink it. Thanks so much for sharing your Extreme Halloween Show preview, your veggies, and your Monster drink with us for T this Tuesday, dear Nicole. Hope you are feeling a bit better, too.
very cool hat!

Best Hat Ever! Great design.
The voodoo hat looks truly awesome, Nicole! And somehow I think the drink suits you. I hope it gives you the energy you need. Happy T day!
oh wow, the vodoo hats are fun. I would stain the skulls too. Wonderful details and love them. Cool canning and growing. I so admire those skills - actually, I admire all your skills. Wishing you much energy this week, sweet Nicole. Happy T-day and hugz
Oh, your voodoo hat is proper scary! But beautiful at the same time.
Well done for being so successful with you veggies. The canning is fascinating. I've never done it and don't know anyone who does. (although I have made jam in the past. That is a form of canning. I sterilize the jars and lids first by boiling them.
Sorry for the late reply. As per usual I don't have time on Tuesday.
A belated happy T-Day,
Lisca
Great 'Voodoo' art work ~
