TADD Aerial View

 Hi Everyone!

Before I get into TADD, I want to thank everyone for all of the well wishes, spells, prayers and healing energy. Did you know that a whisper of intention sails on the wind to where it is supposed to go?

I had an appt with a PA that I was told was new, out of school. Uhhh NO she has been a PA for 30 years and just new to Florence. I will tell you that this was the most comprehensive exam I have had since my real doctor quite some 10 years ago. I won't go into detail but she went as far as to check my teeth to make sure there didn't look like there was any infection that could be causing my numb face. All good there. She was not happy that my yearly MRIs and lupus blood work has not been address. She ordered everything and made a call to imaging to make sure I was high priority. I so wish I could have her for my primary care. Sadly she only works 2 days a week at the walk in clinic. I am so thankful I was able to see her. That is a result of all of you. No one knows why I have numb face but I feel better that we will find out.

Now, on with TADD. This week Rain's theme is aerial view. I have one photo that is NOT mine. LOL Found on google. I love this type of view.
Here are a few bottles I finished.

This is a smaller bottle of swamp lizard in skunk oil than the first one I showed.

I like this paint job on lizard best

And real skunk fur. I have had this a long time but it was packed away.

This is one of the skulls I molded a few weeks back or maybe longer?

Really? What's a poison bottle without some creepy bugs on it?

Here is the dinner part of TADD
 Homemade chili

and what is chili without homemade bread?

Pizza bread is so soft and the butter melts right into it.

Home canned chicken made into a salad with cranberry. I know it looks like crab but it is chicken. LOL

As I have not been feeling myself. Mr. M. actually made this dinner. I instructed him how and it came out soooooo good. He even made a light gravy. Who  knew?

Tonight I made pizza. I had the dough already made in the freezer. I forgot to take a photo when it was whole. Mr. M got BBQ on his half I got veggie.

And now for what I promised and what you have been waiting for. Root Beer Float Cookie recipe.
You will need;
3/4 C butter, 3/4 C brown sugar,
1/4 C white sugar, 1 (3.5 oz) package intant vanilla pudding mix, 2 eggs,
2tsp root beer extract,
2 1/4 C flour,
1tsp baking soda
Preheat oven to 350° F ( 175 C)
Grease 2 baking sheets.
Beat butter and sugars with an electric mixer until creamy; beat in pudding mix.
Add eggs and root beer extract, stir in flour and baking soda.
Drop spoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart on baking sheets.
Bake in a preheated oven until golden,
8 to 10 minutes.

Note; if I make these again I will use a full tablespoon of Root Beer extract.
  1. (3tsp = 1tbsp)
Another note; the Root Beer is an after taste and the cookies were better at a few days old. If you try these let me know if you like them.
I had to order the Root Beer extract from Amazon.

That's it for me. I am off to bed.
Be sure to visit Rain and all the great people who join in with TADD.

Glad your new doctor has ordered thorough, high priority tests for you -- hope you get some answers soon! You know, I've never even heard of root beer extract. I wonder how easy it is to find in a store? Where do you get yours?

It's always good to leave a doctor's office feeling that you have been well taken care of. Now let's hope they find the cause of the problem and eliminate the facial numbness.

I am happy to hear that the PA did a thorough exam and hopefully rushed up the imaging appointment. Perhaps the new imaging will explain or give some clues about the facial numbness.

As always the bottles are interesting and fun to look at.

Wow. You got a great PA. Now maybe you will soon actually learn what is causing this numbness.

LOVE those bottles. They are wonderful. Your meals always make me hungry, especially the bread.

How many cookies does the recipe make? I ask because I was grocery shopping yesterday and eggs were over $5.00/dozen at Aldi. I can't imagine what the other stores are charging.

I'm so glad you are going to have the tests. It is very scary to feel and know that something is not right, but then every provider you see just passes on it, and you go home with no answers. Hopefully-you will find out what's causing the numbness, and you can get the proper help. Your food always looks amazing.

Nicole,

I'm glad you like your new doctor and that she's so thorough with her exam of you. With someone like this, you'll get to the bottom of your medical issue before long. I know it's frustrating not knowing what's going on and it could be a million things. We'll keep praying for speedy answers and treatment to follow. Quality of life is so important. Your poison bottle designs are perfect decoration for Halloween enthusiasts and your food...oh, yum does it all look so good. You're the second person today to mention chili. I'm going to have to make some soon! Thanks for visiting today and the warm welcome back to TAD. Take care and have a good weekend, my dear!

Hurrah that this PC was so thorough. Hopefully you'll be able to work with her and get to the bottom of this. And nice bottles too. But your food today is beyond amazing. You have been cooking up a storm, and it all looks so delicious. hugs-Erika

I think you should arrange your appointments so you can see her ... make it a point with the person making your appointment. I wouldn't be satisfied with anything less once I had seen what could (and should) be done. So still no answers on the numbness? Have you seen a neurologist?
Like you, I love those kind of aerial views ... though it makes me dizzy to look at it very long (I don't like heights:(
Your bottles are always so clever and I love the idea of skunk oil especially with a swamp lizard attached LOL. Everyone should have one on their shelf. The buggy bottles remind me of Thailand ... they actually have bugs like that running around. My son took me to a bug museum and I held bugs that filled my hand ... yikes. Anyway, I deal much better with the fake bugs :0
Chili and homemade bread ... ahhh to die for. It looks wonderful and I can only imagine how good it tastes. And Mr.M probably would have been wise not to let you know how well he could cook ... if you get my gist. I expect to see more of his culinary talents in the future :) I don't bake because I eat more than my share of what I bake (as I get first chance at fresh out of the oven versions) and my body would blow up like a balloon if I were to bake. But, I have to say Root Beer Float cookies ... hmmmm, rather tempting :)
Hope things get better for you Nicole ... and I hope you are able to track down that PA ... she might be just what the doctor ordered :)

The homemade chili and bread makes a great meal, and yours looks good. I tend to forget canned chicken in the winter... I'd gladly share in some of your veggie pizza yummm
