Hi Everyone!
Today I am joining Bleubeard and Elizabeth over at Altered Book Lover for the T party. Be sure to stop by there. Elizabeth always has some amazing art and others things going on.
I really can't tell you what I have been doing all weekend. It flew by so quickly. I did get some art ready for Friday Face OFF. Ohhh, I did try to buy some Halloween items. Now, would someone please explain to me that on the first week of Oct. every store in my town has taken down Halloween items and are now putting up Christmas items. They have by passed fall and Thanksgiving all together. Every year I buy one thing to add to my house. Well.... that was out. I am going to try to get to Walmart, (50 miles away) and hopefully they will still have some Halloween items up. So again, will someone explain this to me.
So that is my story (bitch) for today.
To get into the T-Pary I have to show a drink. This just seems appropriate.
Now for a request. Our dear friend Valerie from Bastelmania has been going through some serious medical. What ever your belief system is would you place send her healing.
That is it for me.
Have a great Tuesday.
Nicole

I am praying for Valerie.
It's crazy if Halloween items are already gone. I'm with you with the Christmas decorations. I can take them once we're past Halloween, but it is too early. And crazy. And that's a fun skeleton with the coffee cup. Since I'm hosting for Elizabeth this week, thanks for joining in for T day. And that's good of you to remember Valerie. I'm worried about her too. Have a great T day. hugs-Erika
Oh I forgot to mention, when I clicked on your link it said your page didn't exist. But once I click on your blog title it came up.
This is a hilarious series of funny memes. Love the vibe.
I know! I can't stand to see the Christmas stuff yet. It has been out at our Walmart since the beginning of September.
I didn't know Valerie was so sick. I will be praying for her. Thank you for mentioning this.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
I feel quite smug inasmuch as we don't celebrate any of these events so what the stores carry or don't carry is immaterial to me. I can only conclude that their marketing must tell them that it's wise to get Christmas stuff out early. I haven't actually been in a mall since long before COVID and have no plans to go to one any time soon.
Christmas really is also all over here. Annoying!
Kick Santa in the butt (for now. The kids might want him come Dec 24-25th).!
I looked for Halloween makeup yesterday and it either never came in or is all gone at DG close to me.
I prefer to wait until AFTER Thanksgiving to even see any Christmas decorations. So I avoid those areas in stores.
Light and healing to Valerie.
I am not going to many stores, but I was in a CVS Pharmacy and saw some lovely decorative witches and similar things last week. I don’t blame the stores if they sell out quickly as they probably don’t want to store them for another 11 months, but it’s really annoying that they would displace them with Christmas merchandise. My impression now is that no one decorates for Thanksgiving any more, except maybe leaving up a few pumpkins and autumn leaves after the Trick-or-Treaters are gone. Good luck finding something!

I am not into seasonal decorating but drives me crazy to see the stuff out so soon. Let us enjoy each season on its own. Valentine's will be out in no time.
...clever!
I also hate to see the stores pushing buyers. I thought Halloween was a big seller-it seems crazy that the stores wouldn't have things out now. Praying for Valerie.
I don't like to see the Christmas decorations too early on the shelves. I think people shouldn't buy them too early. If people weren't to buy the Christmas decorations in October and early November, shops and department stores wouldn't show those items on their shelves too early. Some years ago, while I was in Nurnberg (Germany) for job, I saw Christmas items on 20 October on a department store's shelves (Lidl, that was its name)! Crazy!
Praying for your friend, Valerie!
Nicole, your post has made me cry, how kind of you to think about me. Thanks to the others who reacted, too! Hugs, Valerie
A couple of years ago in September I went to the shops to get some Halloween stuff to give to a friend I was going to visit, but there was nothing in the shops for Halloween, but plenty of Xmas stuff - in September! I'm sending healing thoughts to Valerie too. Happy T Day! Elle/EOTC xx
So true, it's too early for Christmas yet and there's other holidays to celebrate first 😊. Happy Halloween October and sending you Happy T Day wishes! My thoughts are with Valerie, sending healing thoughts and wishes her way! Hugs Jo x
I like that first cartoon, LOL! It seems like Christmas stuff gets put up in stores earlier and earlier every year.
My Walmart still has plenty.. mostly costumes.. the decor stuff is kinda skimpy.. I do the same as you.. i try to find one maybe two things every year.. This year is was really cool skeleton bats from the Dollar Tree...Wish i had gotten more.. Hopefully they bring them back next year.. Yes i hate to see Christmas and Halloween out at the same time too.. Hugs and good thoughts to Valerie! Happy T day! Hugs! deb
With Christmas butting in on all the other holidays, it takes the joy of anticipation away. Halloween things are usually put out by the end of August beginning of September and they don't seem to be out long before the Christmas things are out. Happy T Day
Since I don't decorate for Halloween and I use my German little treasures for Christmas I haven't really noticed this. However, I can understand that it annoys you - I would be annoyed, too. Why can't we celebrate each holiday at its time? I'm sending good thoughts to Valerie and hope she will recover quickly.
We already have Christmas items on shelves here but we don't have that much for Halloween in the UK. Good news that Valerie is out of hospital, Happy T Day, Chrisx
Out shopping today and there were still Halloween aisles and of course Christmas aisles ...
Lots of healing wishes for Valerie ...
All the best Jan
I really don't do Halloween, but agree Christmas stuff is out way too early. My gripe is we skip over Thanksgiving! LOL Happy T Day!
Luckily I live in a rural village and Haloween is not a big thing in Spain. The children have borrowed it from America though. Any excuse for a party. There are a few parties organized. But people don't decorate their houses. And no Christmas stuff yet!
I'm sorry to hear Valerie is so ill. Of course we will pray for her. I hope she recovers soon.
Hugs,
Lisca
I agree it's hard to see Christmas decorations already taking over shelf space in store...
