T Stands for Ready for Winter

 Hi Everyone!

Today is Tuesday and that means there's a party over at Bleubeard and Elizabeth's.

We had 2 decent days so Mr. M. trimmed the big tree out front then the next day trimmed all the trees growing over the fence from the neighbors. Then my dear husband clipped the leaves and saved the branches for me so I can make dolls. How sweet is he?

I spent most of my weekend working on skull art. Not drawing. I am hoping to have some of them finished for Friday Face OFF.
Here are a few.
There is one hiding behind the screaming skull. All of these will be painted, textured and embellished. I am waiting for some hair to come in.
This week is a bit busy. I am going to PT for my shoulder. I requested a private room so I feel better about it. Yes, I hurt my shoulder gardening this last season. Then Mr. M. and I go in for our Covid vax. This is the 5th one. I don't care if people think we are stupid. Or they don't believe in it. This is what keeps us safe.
A good friend of mine has a child in school. The kids and teachers are NOT wearing masks. Another kid in the class came to school with full blown Covid. The school didn't even quarantine the class. Now my friend, her son and her husband all have Covid with serious symptoms. Hardly anyone wears a mask here and distancing is a thing of the past. So yes, we are getting another vax.
Let's see, to get into the T-Party I have to show some sort of drink. I couldn't resist.

Oh and what is coffee with out cookies. Soft oatmeal and spice.

Happy Tuesday

Nicole

Great post, cookies look delicious-trimming bushes and trees is allot of work-I trimmed the long row of bushes along the driveway a couple weeks ago-I was really tired after.
good luck with your art showing

This is a beautiful skull art. And, I am glad to see these garden pictures with trimmed tree branches. Those are neatly arranged. We had our Covid booster vax too and there will be another booster soon. Though the rules are relaxed here too, we still wear masks and practice distancing.
Have a Happy T day!

I got my 5th vac (my husband had his 6th as he is very immunocompromised). I'm with you about not wanting to catch covid, and the mask situation is pretty non-existent here too. I still mask up in most situations. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I am a cookie eater, and they look yummy. Have a great T day Nicole. hugs-Erika

It is still so important to wear masks I think.

You are wise to get that 5th shot. The vaccine is what minimizes the symptoms when you do inevitably catch it, because you're right -- covid is everywhere now. Stay as safe as you can!

I look forward to seeing your completed skulls and the stick dolls you plan to make from the trimmed branches.

Great skull art, Nicole! I also like the black one.
Small branches are good for your doll artwork, and the bigger branches are good for the fireplace ... considering that the price of energy has been rising sharply :-) LOL

Enjoy the rest of this week, Nicole.

You and your husband are very busy! The cookies look wonderful.
We have the same scene here with mask wearing. It's ridiculous. I surely do not want to have covid again, so we are wearing masks in public. We've had 4 shots and I am through feeling like I have to apologise for how I'm acting about this virus. We are the only two in our church who wear them. Out of over 100 people. I want to protect my 91 year old mom too.

You have been very busy. Your skulls look great.I'm impressed with how these are turning out. So nice of Mr. M to do all that trimming and cutting. He's also helping in your new buinsess (grin).

Loved the skulls, skeletons, witches, and the drinks yiu shared with us, along with your cookies, for T this Tuesday, dear Nicole.

We got our current covid booster the same day we got the flu shot. I'm thinking this may be a regular thing going forward, the annual booster. Some wear masks here, but most don't. I will continue to mask for the foreseeable future. The conspiracy theorists have done us all a grave disservice :(

I know you're excited to have the branches! How sweet of him :)

Now I'm in the mood for oatmeal cookies. Yours look yummy. Happy T Tuesday!

Mmm, you're right what's coffee without fresh baked cookies!:p

I had hoped to get some yard work done after vacation but it's been busy around here since we got home. After our song got married earlier this month, we both have been side line with horrible seasonal allergies. Today is the first day in weeks that I've felt human again. I'm trying to not over do things. Maybe by this weekend I can say I'm completely well. *cross fingers* Enjoy your art!

Great to be able to use stuff from your garden in your art, that's so handy. I'm still wearing a mask when I go into shops etc, and I don't care as I haven't had even a cold since wearing one, so it's working for more than just covid. And I'm not alone, there are still some people masked though definitely not many now that it is not mandatory. Happy T Day! Elle/EOTC xx

You won't hear arguments on vaccines from me. I get my fifth Covid tomorrow and flu next week. Yes, they keep us safe!

We got our 5th or 3rd booster, whatever you want to call it. No one wears masks here either, including us. I haven't heard of any big outbreak though. We go to church every Sunday and to our potlucks, and Bible studies, and things seem fine; ours is a small church, no large crowds. But we do get the vaccines. Even got our flu vaccine. So far, so good. We even go out to eat quite often, but not at busy times. :) Great post. Happy T Day.

Nobody wears masks here anymore it seems. Only the clinic and hospital make you wear a mask that I know of. But you are free to wear one if you want to, of course. Not many people do. :(

Your skulls fit so perfectly into Halloween! Just around the corner. :)

We have only just been offered (and had) our 4th jab! It seems not so many folk are having boosters not only that there aren't many people wearing masks either. On our supermarket trip this morning we wore ours and counted probably about 8 others wearing them. Your oatmeal cookies look fabulous! Belated Happy T Day, Chrisx

You are smart to get your vaccinations, Nicole. Terry and I both caught Covid after two shots and two boosters, and we both were really sick. I am quite certain I would have died earlier in the pandemic, if I had caught Covid. Fortunately I won an early first shot in a lottery and was among the first 11,000 vaccinated in Colorado. Even though we had Covid, Terry and I went and got the third booster as soon as we were eligible. And we are still wearing masks in stores and crowded places. I don't care what anyone thinks. Spicy oatmeal cookies are among my most favorite cookies. Yours look scrumptious!
