TADD 9/29

 Hi Everyone!

Today is TADD with Rain. Her theme this week is Hair.  I am so glad I have the option of NOT following it. LOL

For all of my friends that live in Florida please stay as safe as you can. My Son, DIL,
G-son, G-daughter and G-granddaughters all
live in Florida. Even though they tell me not to worry I do.

This last week I made BBQ Beef pizza. I know.. it sound terrible but it is really very good.

Yesterday I made almond cookies half dipped in chocolate and covered with almond bits.

 These are so good.

Today I made, what we call, French Bread. I make a lot of bread in winter. This recipe has the perfect elasticity and baked up beautifully.

The crust is thin with a great crunch. The crumb is the perfect tightness. Just enough air holes and not too big.

Oh the things I find at the $1.25 store. LOL

This is now hanging on my art room door.

I've been wanting to show all of you this for awhile now. It's a card I was gifted for my art room door.

It's all done in paper quilling.

Well that's all I got for today.
I invite you to join me tomorrow for
Friday Face OFF

Nicole

Good luck to your family in Florida. I guess the whole state is not threatened.

I like your "dollar store" find. Ours is $1.25 also. I don't know why the increase annoys me so much. LOL

The paper quilled card is amazing. That is one thing I have no desire to learn to do. (Probably a good thing since there are already too many things I want to try.)

Wow, that paper quilling crow is magnificent!

Nice small painted skulls hanging on your room's door? They're perfect for Halloween time :-) ... I'd like to visit that $ 1.25 store :-)))

Time is rainy also here. I Hope your grand-son, grand-daughter & grand-granddaughters, who live in Florida, are in good shape and safe.

I would like to have a dinner with both your beef pizza & almond cookies, Nicole. I also like your french bread, although I would make it with 50% whole wheat grain flour.

Take care, Nicole :-)

Barbeque pizza is really good.
A local store sells barbeque chicken pizza.

BBQ pizza sounds really tempting! Perfect flavor combination as far as I’m concerned. I’m not fanatic about mixing types of food. It just has to taste good.

I hope your family in Florida will be fine.
The quilled crow (raven?) looks fantastic. I did some quilling years ago, it is not easy and you need a lot of patience. Not necessarily for me... Your food looks delicious. I actually think BBQ beef pizza sounds tasty. The almond cookies are tempting - would you mind posting the recipe or a link to it?
I don't know whether I can join FFO tomorrow, I'm bombarded with orders right now, so I'm probably knitting up a storm.

Hi Nicole, loved to see the birdcars. I have a similar one but another bird. Mine is from Australia where my granddaughter studied for a year.

The technique says to be Quilling, or, paper filigree. It is certainly a peice of art. :)

BBQ beef pizza? That idea never occurred to me but it does look somehow delicious. I think you can make a million version of pizza.

That paper bird is wonderful. It looks like creative and certatinly done with great care.

Have a lovely day.

Interesting. I don't BBQ beef lol and don't put BBQ on pizza. BBQ pizza is quite popular here, though, so I know I'm missing out... Your bread looks delicious.

Hope your family is okay.
Your pizza and breads always look just delicious.
The quilling is amazing. Takes patience looks like. :)

My prayers for your family and friends in Florida. I can't remember ever seeing such destruction and the losses the people will experience is heart breaking.
Your food is as delicious as food can be in one's imagination. It would be nice if you were serving it here where I could take a nice big bite of something. Wishful thinking, I know :( My daughter loves the Day of the Dead Skulls. I would like to find such a thing in our Dollar(twenty-five)Store for her to hang on her door. And the paper quilling Raven is awesome. So, I have to say, I am glad you didn't follow the prompt today ... your post is awesome.

Hi, Nicole! What the people have gone through in Florida is heartrending, and it's going to take a long time for the state to recover from this natural disaster. Of course you worry about your loved ones! Who wouldn't. I hope they remain okay. those cookies are making my mouth water. I enjoy baking bread bread, and I don't do it nearly enough. Yours is beautiful. I've seen a few pieces of paper quilling, but none were as beautiful as this crow. It's amazing. Have a great week! Take care!
