Hi Everyone!
Today is TADD with Rain and the theme is gestures and movement. I am going with movement this time with some old art. I know I need to create some new art but really since covid I just haven't been in the right frame of mine. B.C. my art was in many galleries on the Oregon coast, and I sold art on line. Now most of the galleries have closed and my website is no longer. I just don't have the gumption to get reestablished. Does that make sense?
For old art.
I have done some cooking this week but simply forgot to take photos. Today I made sure to get one. I made chicken taco soup. OMG good. I used all of my canned goods with the exception of tomato paste. I finally was able to find a good avocado too.
Tomorrow I am canning sweet pickles. I have the absolute best recipe. I will share next week.
On Tuesday I asked if anyone knew what this plant is.
Tom from The Backroads Traveller knew exactly what it is.
Italian arum
Other's mentioned Dragon Lily and both are from the arum family. The Italian arum is very poisonous and is an invasive plant.
Thanks Tom!
That's it for now. Have a great day.
Nicole

...keep moving!
Vibrant, beautiful colours! And that fruit crumble sure looks good too.
Awesome art. I love taco soup.
Your art is lovely, and I suspect most of what you created was made before pour art was ever thought of.
Your taco soup looks good and so does that fruit crumble. Your photos made me hungry!
Great combination with strawberries, blueberries and apple :-) I would ask my wife and my daughters to make that desert, but I think it isn't easy to buy good strawberries here in Rome and its surroundings.
Love your artworks, Nicole! ... Fantastic the atmosphere with the moonlight.
We're still waiting for rain here in Central and South Italy. On the contrary, in Northern Italy the flood damaged buildings and streets.
Election of MPs will be held in late September here in Italy. Another multinationals' puppet will become PM soon. As we have just seen in Finland with the Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin, if a prime minister disagrees with weapons & pharma multinationals, who rule the world, they will destroy his/her reputation. So sad!
So glad to see you enjoyed the picture of my last post. Thank you for the t aprreciation and for leaving a comment :-)
Have a nice Thursday, Nicole :-)
I have tried to do pouring art, but I never had success with it.
I love your art pieces. The "moonlight on the water" to are particularly nice, but I also love the abstract/non-representational pieces.
The moon painting and the avocado dish my fabourites today
Happy Thursday
Much💖love
I love your "not pour" art pieces :)
That fruit crumble is making my mouth water. It looks delicious!
It's a pity how covid put a stop to so many things Nicole. I had an Etsy shop B.C.
Your art is beautiful, and should be out there!
Sad your art now is but in your blog - here flea-markets start to pop up again!
Your food looks great! Hmmm. yummy.
The name of the flower sure fits very well - a happy day to you!
I love your 'old' art and I do understand how it can be hard to get motivated now a days. I love the night time paintings-you really should get back to painting ya know...
Pity the Italian arum is poisonous and invasive for it is beautiful! I understand the lack of motivation to open the shop or even do more. Maybe it's time for a break and when you are ready, you'll be good to go. That crumble looks terrific!
Covid has really changed so many things, including how we want to function in the world, hasn't it? I am loving all the art today. That taco soup looks delicious, as does the fruit crumble. I just ate dinner but it's making me hungry all over again. hugs-Erika
You don't have to feel obligated to renew something that served you in the past. As long as you are enjoying your life creatively today, I think you are a winner. I'm looking forward to face off!
Good evening Nicole, I always enjoy seeing your art you are so talented in many mediums.
I love baking crumbles too, my husband loves them so I make these instead of pies now adays.
Happy rest of your week Kathy
Covid has messed up a lot of things, Nicole. I'm glad that you are improving. Your lack of gumption to get reestablished totally makes sense. It takes so much effort, and so many of us are frazzled and exhausted by everything that has happened since the beginning of Covid. Hopefully creating art will restore you. Your art work is beautiful. I have no clue what pour art is. Your beaded necklace is unique and gorgeous. Your artistic ability bursts out in so many directions. Have a lovely weekend!
I understand your lack of gumption to reestablish your art business. It takes so much time, work and energy. COVID really has changed so much. Your art is beautiful, I love the two moon paintings, they are so impressive. Your taco soup looks delicious!
Well old art or not, you hit a homerun with this post. Your paintings (and your Photographs) are perfect examples of the part motion plays in art ... they are all beautiful. And I would love the recipe for your Chicken taco soup ... it looks delicious and so well displayed. I just finished my breakfast and you made me hungry again :) And your fruit crumble ... strawberries, blueberries and apples, granola (what kind?) and ... would love to know what else and how long you baked it. Yes, I know, I ask a lot of you, but it looks so good :) Covid took a toll on everyone (and in many ways continues to as our inflation is a direct result of the shortages it caused)and many, like you, have not been able to get back up and start from scratch again. No one can blame you for that, but your presence in the art world will be missed. Wishing you all good things, Nicole ...

I understand how you feel about your business. You lost it and now it probably seems impossible to get it up and running again.
Lots of motion in the art today. Your abstracts are great but today I favor the second, colorful, is it "sunset"?
