Greetings!
Yay it's Friday Face Off!
I hope you all join in. It's so easy. See the rules at the end of the post.
For my face today I have another graphite.
It is the easiest art to do while "resting" LOL Seeing this on my pc it is truly a terrible photograph.
Once in a while I try a guy face, in fact I do have many. I want to focus on male faces for awhile. The structure is a bit different and I want to explore that. Now, I am NOT going for extreme realism. That takes a real talent and even though I try to pick up some tips form those artist, I am too impatient. LOL This guy has a great smile though.
Some faces in my house.
This weeks featured face today is;
from Cats and Dogs
Lira the dog. How can you not love this face?

Impatience sounds familiar, sadly!
ReplyDeleteI think it´s a great face. I went to scanning my sketches to avoid "unlucky angles".
Other this is really, really great!
See my "impatient face"...
Love the face/hands-statue. Is there a meaning or is everybody to think for themselves, I wonder.
When we were at Sculptures by the sea we wondered about some art. One of our friends got the leaflet and sometimes it´s just better without an explanation, yet sometimes it helps.
Cute dog-face indeed.
Hi Nicole, Beautiful face as always. But today it gets overpowered by the white "covering eyes" sculpture. I love that one. :)
ReplyDeleteGood morning Nicole!
ReplyDeleteYour man drawing is great; you reached his broad smile very well. The Mexico-themed art is awesome, too.
Have a wonderful weekend xx
Lovely faces, that dog is so cute! Valerie
ReplyDeleteI shall look forward to your exploration of male faces, Nicole. The one you present here is terrific. Ironically I saw a charcoal sketch of Ernest Hemingway recently - now there was an interesting face! Enjiy the weekend coming up.
ReplyDelete...Nicole, you and I live in an interesting world of faces!😀
ReplyDeleteI think your faces are far more realistic than any of mine.
ReplyDeleteYour face drawing has grown by leaps and bounds over much time, Nicole. This is exquisite! Male face structure has a strength that shows in this drawing. Rest well and take good care!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend Nicole. Luv your face art today. Lira is a star today. Well done
ReplyDeleteMuch💖love
I think your male face looks amazing Nicole. I want to practice with children more because the structure is different there also, and I just can't get them to look like children. Practice, right? And I love seeing the faces in your house. And thanks for sharing Lira. She is adorable. Hope you're on the improve. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteA great selection of faces today, Nicole!
ReplyDeleteWonderful faces today
ReplyDeleteI find men's faces more difficult than women's and I'm not really sure why. Yours turned out well, I like it. I probably would have become very impatient with drawing his hair, it looks like super tiny strokes. That must have taken forever. The white face sculpture with the hands drew me in this morning, so interesting and simply fabulous. The dog is too cute. Wishing you a good and hopefully painfree weekend.
ReplyDeleteA great guy face, and I love all the other faces.
ReplyDeleteLira is sweet, is she yours?
Alison
He does have a great smile, doesn't he, and I love the expressive eyes.
ReplyDeleteI love your guy! His eyes are fabulous and his smile is gorgeous! I love how you do lips. Any chance you might start a YT channel to show us how to draw? ☺☺☺
ReplyDeleteOoop forgot to click on email follow ups, so here's the comment for that! ☺ You seem better Sis! I hope you are! I have big things happening for the next few weeks, I'll be in touch soon, sending love! ♥♥
ReplyDeleteI think he has a twinkle in his eye.
ReplyDeleteSuch an adorable doggo! <3
ReplyDeleteDear Nicole,
ReplyDeleteI like your graphite drawings very much - the guy has a good charisma!
Lira the dog's little face is adorable <3

I always enjoy seeing your collection of faces, but that white "covering eyes" sculpture is my favourite today.
ReplyDeleteMy good wishes.
All the best Jan
I like your faces this week Nicole. I find it hard not to make male faces look like female faces lol. I like the white one with the hands over the eyes, and of course, the cute dog. Elle/EOTC xx
ReplyDeleteBoa tarde minha querida amiga Nicole. Seu desenho é maravilhoso. Aproveito para desejar um bom início de semana.
