Tuesday T- Party

Hi Everyone!
We have been in the bowls of storm after storm after storm. Where people across the world are begging, praying for rain, we have more than we can handle. Dark, gloomy, Forest Gump type rain. One day slipping into the next with no break. Finally, today, which is Monday, the rain slowed down, the sky is still dark and overcast but no big rain. I was able to uncover the garden, check to see what is damaged and how to fix it all. I am sure I have lost my 6 containers of potatoes. We will see at harvest time. But, green oozy crap is seeping from the drain holes. Hmmm rotten potatoes? Mr. M. was getting ready to leave the house. I asked where he was going. He walks 3 miles everyday. I said, "It's Sunday, you don't walk on Sunday." He looked at me and said, "It happens to be Monday." OMGosh I forgot to put up Movie Monday on my blog. See what the constant dark and rain does to me. LOL.
So, this is my post for Tuesday stands for please no rain for awhile. The T-party is hosted by Bleubeard and Elizabeth.
First I do want to share a movie I watched that is really very good. It's an older movie that I had forgotten about. It is, "Nothing but the truth" with Kate Beckinsale, Vera Farmiga, and Matt Dillion. It is a political movie about a reporter keeping her source secrete. The ending is a gut twister. You can watch it free on Roku, Peacock, and Pluto TV.
Hidden under a lot of foliage are the first tiny flowers in bloom.
I made veggie soup the other day

 Saute onion and celery.

Add chopped cabbage and cut up squash. Saute.

Add 1 can of chopped tomatoes.

1 can of chick peas, rinsed.

Enough veggie broth to cover everything and simmer.

 Top with Parmesan cheese.

 and eat

Now to get into the T-party my drink is India Pale Ale.
And here is a piece I'm working on.

Hope everyone is having a great day.

Nicole

Your soup looks delicious and nourishing. The perfect meal for gloomy stormy days. Rain is a blessing but can also wreak havoc.
Your sketch is lovely!
Happy Tea Day,
Kate

So much rain!! I guess that's part of living on the NW coast of Washington and Oregon (or at least that's what I've been told). I sure hope you didn't lose any of your garden plantings. The veggie soup looks so yummy- but as we are having some real heat and humidity I prefer something light and refreshing right now.
Lovely looking portrait sketch.
Happy T day!

Too much of a good thing is just that - too much. I hope that the rain will stop for you and you can see the sun. Ihope your garden has survived that much water. The movie looks very interesting and quite suspenseful.

Soup is always good on dark wet days. I hope your garden hasn't rotted. And it's too bad you can't send some of that rain to places that are in a drought seeing so much of the west is in a drought. I hope you get some sun and nice weather soon. And have a lovely T day too. hugs-Erika

Oh, I hope for better weather soon - to loose a whole day is not funny!
That soup looks yummy and it sure is cold enough over here for having one, yet the Pale Ale I´d prefer, hmmmm....
Great face again! Have a happy T-Day!

Too much rain where you are and drought in other parts of the continent. Oy veh! I totally understand about not knowing which day it is. Since I retired I often have the same problem!

The soup really looks good. I am sorry that the potatoes appear to be lost.

It is disconcerting to realize that you have "lost" a day, isn't it?

Too much rain? Send some over! I'm really sorry you had so many storms. I don't like the dark weather. I have SAD syndrome and it causes depression. It is one of the reasons we moved to Spain.
Sorry about your potatoes. It doesn't sound good.
The film looks interesting. Is it based on real events?
Your soup sounds lovely. I make soup like that as well, with whatever I have lying about plus some chick peas. Hubby has to be careful with legumes, so no chick peas for him at the moment.
Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca

As you mentioned, here in Italy we're begging for rain. It hasn't rained since March, and small olive trees aren't in good shape. On the contrary, you are dealing with storm after storm on the West Coast. Sorry to hear you lost part of your veggies in your garden!
Love your veggies soup, Nicole.

Enjoy you Tea Day :-)

One of the kajillions of movies I've never seen. I'll add it to my endless list. It's kinda nice to know I'll never run out lol

I hope it dries up there soon. We're in the middle of a sunny heat wave here, but I like the heat so am fine with that.

I've missed T Stands for Tuesday during my staycation. It's good to be back.

Hope the sun comes out soon for you. I'd not thought about putting cheese in a veggie soup.

Boa tarde Nicole. Infelizmente as chuvas desde o ano passado tem feito muito estrago no Brasil. Espero que você esteja bem. As sopas são maravilhosas. Obrigado pela visita e carinho.

Been without electricity since about 6:30 pm yesterday. Never so glad to have my AC and internet back.

You are getting the rains we got last week. It is SO hot and sticky here, now, I really wish we had rain again to cool things down.

I'd never heard of that film, just Matt Dillon.

Your soup looks good and probably even better with cheese.

I like the Pelican logo on the beer. Thanks for sharing your film, soup, drawing, and beer with us for T this Tuesday, Nicole.

You are very talented at drawing faces. I admire your skill. We are quite the opposite with rain these days. It seems nothing comes in moderation these days.
Happy T day!
