Hi Everyone!
Today is Friday Face Off and I am linking up with Gene and Barbara.
I literally just finished this piece.
Of course the face is clay, painted and sealed.
I painted a wooden Hamsa hand, then arranged some fabric and glued it on. The face goes on next. Then I did Huichol beading.
I am also linking with
Nicole

...I love the purple.
ReplyDeleteHow interesting. It must have been "iridescent paint week" even though it wasn't planned. I love both the face and the way you have mounted it.
ReplyDeleteThis face reminds me of a cross between a sleeping baby child and someone very old. I like it, and it made me think about it a few minutes. That's a good thing. Happy end of April Nicole.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and serene, Nicole. The face reminds me of a peacefully sleeping baby.
ReplyDeleteThat's beautiful, Nicole!
ReplyDeleteYour face has so much personality! I love the beading.
ReplyDeleteWow! Your sculpture is a delight of beauty.
ReplyDeleteFabulous piece, Nicole!
ReplyDeleteGreat piece Nicole, unusual.

ReplyDeleteJust like a sleeping baby Nicole, make me want to whisper and tip toe around so not to wake her. Beautifully embellished. Hugs Tracey x
ReplyDeleteThe face reminds me of a sleeping baby for some reason. Love the shimmery colors. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is quite unusual, and I love that you also included the Hamsa hand, too. What a special face, Nicole.
ReplyDeleteOh love the face and hamsa hand and your clay face ~ they are awesome ~ wonderful creation!

That's a particular face! I like both the shape and the unusual colour. That face remids me a carving I saw inside the Rosslyn Chapel in Edinburgh.
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting expression you captured!
ReplyDeleteBoa tarde Nicolas. Bom domingo com muita saúde e paz. Aproveito para desejar um ótimo mês de maio.
ReplyDeleteA lovely piece and such a nice colour.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
A wonderful piece and such unusual colour too.
