Greetings!
I sat here looking at my cursor blinking, waiting for me to write something, anything.
It's Sunday and the news reporter is telling us that putin has his nuclear forces on high alert and countries are coming together to figure out what will be done in case this crazy person goes through with it. On top of that here in the US we have trump and his supporters on the side of putin.
I no longer know my country.
I will say that the Ukrainian people have a resilience beyond any and especially Volodymyr Selenskyy
he is my new hero.
So, how do I keep myself sane in an insane world? Art gets me through my day, along with some other things, but art takes me away.
I was able to get several faces painted yesterday. These will go on Spirit Dolls, wall hangings and boxes.
Easy meal. Sausage, yellow pepper, onion, and potato. Topped with a bit of cheese and you have a meal. I partially baked the potato in the microwave, all other ingredients were sauteed on the stove. Add the potato and cheese then in the oven for about 10 minutes at 375°F
It was soooo good.
I only added sale and pepper to taste.

Selensky and the Ukrainian people as a whole are indeed inspiring in their defiance of the Russian aggressors. More power to them! It's disgusting that Trump and Republicans are supporting Putin.

I believe that Putin thought Ukrainians would welcome him with open arms. He saw himself as their savior. I think that surprised him that they stood up to him. I can't believe the rhetoric coming from my country where 1/3 are cheering him on. They have our former "leader" to thank for that. We just had Presidents Day. I can't believe the same political party who elected Lincoln and even Eisenhower has evolved into the Trumpian party.
Yes, he is a hero, he stays calm, Selenskyy. Despite being target #1.

I so agree with you about Trump. I hope the truth will come out about him and his followers will see him for what he is. He has divided this country. It's no wonder he admires Putin-they are just alike in my opinion. I thank God we have the right to voice our opinions in this country. That is not true in Russia. They are being jailed, and probably worse...
The GOP has been going in this direction for a long time. It's not even shocking any more.

I miss Oregon where it feels like most people think like you do (and I do). I am *hoping* that this latest outrage brings some Florididans to their senses, but I have doubts. It is beyond belief that citizens of the USA ( as you say so well) actually support Putin. The legacy of He who shall not be named will never die I'm afraid.
